Met this guy about a year ago at a property that I was inspecting for termites, him and his crew were prepping the house for paint and was very impressed by the prep work and the care they were taking that I decided to ask him for a card. I finally got around to calling him to get an estimate for my house. He was able to fix all the bad cracks on my stucco and caulked all eaves and even brought a porta potty for his crew. There was an area that we felt it didn't look right so he repainted the boards to make sure we were satisfied. I didn't bother getting any other estimates seeing his work sold it. I wish all contractors were like Miguel and his crew! They spent a lot of time prepping the exterior of my house... patching stucco and wood, washing the walls, papering, sanding, and moving everything out of the way. He was punctual, communicated well, and knowledgeable. They cleaned up the job site everyday so there wasn't any trash left around. The lines of paint between the house color and accent colors were clean. They papered everything including my plants. There was no paint spatter anywhere. They even dug the dirt next to my house to ensure they could paint the bottom of the wall completely. Exterior lights and security cameras were wrapped everyday so they were protected, while they worked, and unwrapped every night so we could use it. Very detailed work! They worked long hours and got the job done efficiently. They sprayed the paint, rolled the paint, and touched up areas so nothing was missed, which produced a high quality paint job. We contacted Miguel because we found him on yelp and he had good reviews. He arrived at our home on time and was very punctual and professional. We had contacted 3 other painting companies for quotes last week and this was our final quote before we chose what company we wanted to move forward with. We were looking for exterior painting of our home. The prior three quotes were between $3,200 and the highest was $3,800. When Miguel came he did his measurements like the other painters and he quoted us at $6,800. I was completely shocked at the drastic increase in his price compared to the other 3 companies I also found on yelp with great reviews. My husband asked if that is the best price and he lowered it to $6,300 which is still ridiculous. Although he is nice and professional, his prices are outrageous. Everything he offered to do was standard that other companies offered as well and his paint is also the same paint the other companies use. We obviously decided to go with another company. Although he may be good at what he does, his prices are completely unreasonable. read more
