As well as renting out films, the business sells electrical appliances and repairs virtually all electrical goods. We've taken conked out TV's, fan heaters and even my hair straightener, which he has mended within hours! The shop is cramped and bursting with odd TV's that I assume are in queue to be fixed. It almost feels like a jungle of gadgets as soon as you enter because every visible wall space is used to stock goods. Everything sold here is very reasonably priced and if you're as good a customer as me then you get a discount without even asking! The road is residential with a doctor's surgery so parking is usually restricted. Although you could nearly always find parking on the nearby Edward Road.

Their game is simple - shifting good quality kitchen appliances for not a lot of money. Fridges, blenders, TVs and so much more are all on the scene down here. This is also a good place to find out what's going on in the world of Ragga and Dancehall with their ever changing display of posters in the window. Additionally, as if the offers will never end, gold and silver are both bought for cash down here. If I were you I'd get down to A J's.

Goldmine of a shop. Such a rarity these days A shop where you can get all the replacement parts…read moreneeded for household electrical goods when they wear out . If your hoovers old or second hand and you do not where or what dust bags you need this shop they will get them for you. Washing door seals, Soap powder dispensers filters the list is endless. Really friendly mature staff who know there stuff..Think they are finding it harder in the internet climate of Google and Order climate..But it would be a shame to loose this long standing shop and the service they provide.

One very burnt out component was removed and after a quick flick through the yellow pages he called into these guys to see if they could help. The man behind the counter took a quick look and managed to locate a used one and said try this for free. It will either work or if it doesn't its going to be £60.00 for a new one and if needed I can get it in a couple of days. It worked so result. We have used them for a couple of things not just for washing machines since then and the service has always been as good as the first time so this place is highly recommended.

Not only is the proprietor extremely knowledgable about his stock - able to quote you chapter and verse about the pros and cons of anything you might be thinking of buying - but all of the staff are very helpful and obliging. Local delivery is both flexible and cheap (occasionally the fee is waived completely if you live very close) and I've never had a single cause for complaint. If you've got a cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, vacuum cleaner or similar that's on the blink and out of warranty come here before you think about throwing it away. A1 seem to be able to get most parts for most things, and may well have the know-how to repair the item themselves. The last item I purchased from here was a halogen cooker; it was about £10 more than I would have paid online but worked out cheaper when delivery costs are figured into the equation. I've never had a moment's trouble with the cooker, but I'm absolutely confident that if I do, the staff at A1 will be as helpful as ever. Highly recommended.
