In the summer of 2014, Mike O Callaghan Builders carried a ground floor extension & refurb' to our home in Glenside, Annacotty, Limerick. Prior to appointing the builder, I received 5 quotes based on construction drawings. Of the 5 who tendered , only 2 surveyed the site...one of whom was Mike. Mike came in with the keenest quote and gave assurances on programme ( 4 months for full completion ) . In terms of value for money , quality of work & pace of progress , I was extremely happy with Mike and his staff. Communication with myself , my wife and our architect was excellent. Works that were not carried out directly by Mike ( tiling & painting) were looked after by contacts that he gave us & they were also excellent value for money and their works were of the highest standard. I've used Mike subsequently for refurb' works at a rented property in Sexton St. Limerick and again the work was carried out in the promised time (2 weeks). Michael O'Callaghan built our house in Tulla, Co. Clare completing construction in February 2016. Working with Mike and his team of contractors was an entirely positive experience. We found Mike to be honest, direct and trustworthy. He was always easy to get in contact and if unavailable always returned calls on the same day. We found his work and his contractors' work to be of an extremely high standard. He supplied all labour with the exception of tiling. Mike kept the project within budget and delivered on agreed deadlines. He was also open to making changes, given reasonable notice and in fact he himself suggested some key changes to minor details of the plans, based on his experience.
