I can't recommend Mike enough! Over 10 years ago, when our car's lower ball joint broke, he not only towed our vehicle but also helped my husband replace the part afterward. More recently, when our car was mistakenly repossessed due to an old lien from four owners ago (despite the debt being resolved), Mike came to the rescue during one of the most stressful days of my life. I called him for advice and mentioned I couldn't find the tow company's phone number. Without hesitation, he personally went to the tow yard to help. Throughout the day, as the situation unfolded, he patiently guided me, taking calls and offering advice every step of the way--even though this issue had nothing to do with him. Mike's kindness, willingness to help, and dedication are truly rare. I'll never call another towing company and will always recommend him to everyone I know. Owner is so beyond unprofessional, was told by THE state police Sargent to leave my vehicle at a certain spot, the owner ripped in told me "your going to have to go to my fucking lot and pick you car up" I show up not even 20 min later to pick up MY car and MY stuff and he tells me to leave my shit in the car and leave after calling 4 cops to come "supervise"... Car was towed by local PD after I wrecked it. I could tell right away Mike was a power tripper. Took me four attempts to get my belongings during business hours, Mike kept telling me to "call me when your in Redmond" he has very condescending attitude, and thinks he's a big deal. When I got belongings, I verbally released vehicle to my insurance company, I even asked mike if he needed a release in writing and he said no. 6 days later my insurance company calls to tell me that he refused to release my vehicle, cause I didn't authorize the release, I wouldn't recommend this company, if I needed a tow or lock out I would call someone else. If your in a situation like I was were you have to deal with this company, play your cards right, mike loves being in control, if you piss him off it's probably gonna cost you. read more

Like the rest of the reviews here, just be prepared to deal with a guy who is bitter and resentful. Don't take it personally, he likely has had a rough life and unfortunately not enough love and encouragement from people. That being said, he'll expect you to know his business better than him, makes no effort to coordinate with you so you'll likely need to call everyday until you get a hold of him, and when you do, just be prepared for him to snap at any moment. Prices are just thrown out arbitrarily - don't expect anything in written form - and he's quick to blame you for not knowing all of his rules so just be prepared for that as it can catch you off guard. He has glimpses of a nice guy inside him if you play the subordinate role, but unfortunately it seems he has a hard time trusting people and as a result will attack you first to protect himself, likely from past trauma. So if you're the type to avoid confrontation and are ok with just following orders to get your car situated, you'll probably get along with him fine. Otherwise, if you like getting in heated fights with random people, he's the perfect dance partner. If you do though, be aware that he'll even go as far as lock you in his yard and leave - so make sure you're at least out of there first. read more

I've called Mike's Cascade Towing on multiple occasions and have used his company for a multitude of services. They are always timely, and reliable, professional and honest, and they really do go above and beyond to make sure the job is done and done right and at a fair price. I have found a company that I will happily use when needed and comfortably and without hesitation refer to someone in need of a tow company. Mike and his crew have my business anytime. Mike is nothing more than an insurance scammer. He towed my van less than 3 miles for which I was following him to his tow yard. Charge was 485.00 cash only. Said he had another call and would be back 1/2 hour. Waited an hour, still hasn't returned. Called him and said I would pay the 485.00 and would be right down. He said it was to late and that he would deliver the van to one of 2 body shops. I said I just need for him to drop it and I would take to from there. He refused, I had to get another tow agency to tow it, for which they did for which I drove the van home another 10 miles. I wish there was a rating lower then one star for this. We were broke down going out of Warm Springs on HWY 26 at about 6pm. I called my credit card company for roadside assistance. They called this company for a tow. The quote was $2000.00. Yep 2k for a tow from Warm Springs to Ford in Madras. Of course I did not use them. I used Prince's Towing for $225.00 Really baffled about this the next morning I call this company and asked if that was a mistake. He said the amount was correct and I asked why so much. He responded by saying he did not what to go on the call. He said he did not want to be on the Reservation in the middle of the night. Then started to say something about he doesn't like to send his driver out in the middle of the night not knowing the situation. I wasn't in a crime area. I was on the HWY at the start of a holiday weekend. He offers 24 hour towing but yet he does like to go out at night? I really could not believe what I was hearing and let him know I was writing a review. I hung up. He called me back not once but twice. He left a message claiming he was not the only company that passed up this call. He doesn't know that. He said that he doesn't send his driver up to WS for that kind of call in the middle of the night. It was day light. NOT in the middle of the night. Not a company to trust. He lies. read more

When my car was in an accident the police called mikes to tow my car. The cops told me that my car would be in their possession for a long time while the accident was investigated. A couple weeks later I called oregon State police to find out if I could get my belongings out of the car and they said it wasn't done being investigated. Then that weekend I got a call from OSP saying that my car was at mikes towing. I called mike right away and at first he seemed understanding about the misunderstanding between my and OSP. I see wanted to get my car right away since I know tow truck companies charge daily. He said he wouldn't charge me anymore from that moment on but that's when everything started going downhill. After that it was very tough to get a hold of him. I would get sent to voicemail or get the runaround from an employee. After council from a tow truck driving friend they told me to just take a day off work and camp out in front of his office until I got my car back. I was there right when he showed up at 9 and he was rude right off the bat. Telling me "not to grab at his door" because he opened it a crack and I put my hand on it. When I told him which car I was there for he said I owed 1400 dollars which he scribbled out the bill, no official printed out document, but from what I gathered it was 700 for the tow and 700 in storage fees. He towed it less than 5 miles so 700 for that seemed ludicrous. I was going to just pay the bill and get my car back but when it turned out to be so high I told him I didn't even know my car was at his lot and no one had contacted me. He said that wasn't his problem and the bill was what it was. I called OSP and the detective in charge of my case, Brian, basically told me it was my problem too. Long story short I had to make dozens of phone calls and luckily I had documented who I talked to at the evidence department at OSP so the police finally did the right thing and said they would take care of the bill and I could get my car back. At this point when he realized the bill was getting paid he seemed to go back to acting reasonable. Even nice. He said he wouldnt charge me for the tow to get it back to my house. I was so realived to have this whole nightmare behind me... I tried setting up a time he could drop it off and he gave me his cell number so we could arrange something. Thats when he really started dodging my phone calls. All I wanted was to set up a time and day. It didn't matter when it was I just wanted to know when. Seemed simple to me. After over a week of getting zero communication I had my insurance company call him and say I NEEDED a time and place I could get my car. I had consolidated towing in bend call to arrange the Pick up and when they called me back they said they had to go pick it up right away because he had pushed it off his lot and it was just out on the street where anything could happen to it. This guy must have some sort of deal with the police because the way all this went down was so unprofessional and I urge anyone that has a problem with this company to report him to BBB as I did and maybe someday the new towing board of oregon will stop his bad business practices. I know this post is long but doesn't even detail how horrendous this man acted. Stay far away from mikes towing. read more

ZERO STARS! They don't know how to return a phone call! They told me that I could come get my stuff out of the car the next day and then when I called to get someone there he said he had to ask his boss and that he'd call me back in an hour.. he never did! When I called back to see why he hadn't called and to see when I could get my stuff he tried to charge me almost 400 dollars and was gonna make me just give him the title to my car just to get my stuff out.. the Redmond police department is who called this tow company for me and honestly I will never ever use them again.. so unprofessional and will try to milk you for all the cash they can.. and they'll make sure to keep reminding you that there under "police contract"... So unprofessional! No one mans the office even though the door states 9 to 5 on it. Good luck getting your phone call returned. And you have to schedule an appointment to pick up your vehicle. The owner is rude and the charges are outrageous. The only way he stays in business is because he has a contract with the police department. They left vehicle unlocked and keys in it. I really have to question why the police department uses them. Stressful enough having car towed without having to deal with these guys. Zero Stars!!!! Mike is very unprofessional, rude and doesn't have the time of day for anybody!!! Our truck was impounded he was very very rude told me to stop telling him how to do his job and I should be thankful for what he's doing getting our truck off a rock. Then I go to pay him $391 11 hours later and he doesn't have the time of day tells me to come back call him in 45 minutes come back then he tells me to bring cash it took 3 visits to finally get him to show up at his place of business to release it. He yelled at me saying why didn't you call me I told you to call me and I did very nicely politely leave him a message. Even though his business hours say on the door Monday through Friday 9 to 5 he must not have any other employees. So you politely ask when can you meet me he doesn't give me ever a time and then he pulls up and says he can't help me now and just I can come back.Even the police officer was shaking his head and couldn't believe how he talked to me.. read more
