As many others have noted, I dare you to show me a ten-course meal (8 savory, 2 sweet) that even comes close in terms of culinary inventiveness & excellence for the $62 tariff! Last night killed once again...with standouts like the shrimp, fois gras and pork belly setting things up for the newly added risotto with crab that absolutely blew us all away! And that amazing food is framed with an excellent cocktail and wine service. The Spirits selection goes out of its way to ensure you're drinking amazing, off-the-beaten-path kinda stuff that you've never heard of before...Vodka from Japan & Spain, Gin distilled in France, Mexico and Illinois (the Thresh & Winnow gin was the find of the night!) legit Tequila and Mezcal that are thankfully untouched by celebrity endorsements, and small batch Bourbon & Rye that blows away the big producers! And Traif has one of the most well curated...and frankly, affordable...wine lists around! Besides the wonderful Pinson Chablis and Beck Ink Zweigelt we ordered, I was shocked to see Ziereisen Gestad Syrah (very hard to source and quite amazing) priced at just a fraction over retail. And to cap it all off, it goes without saying that the people and service are Tip-Top. Bravo, guys...keep it up!!!

When I first…read morelooked at the menu, I worried that they were trying too hard to be "creative" with both food and drink. However, after we had four dishes and tried a few of the signature cocktails, I ended up thrilled with how wonderfully each of their experiments worked. Tonight on our fourth visit we all had the Chef's Selection (portions of eight dishes chosen by the restaurant) and collectively worked our way through the outstanding specialty cocktail menu. The majority of the dishes and the cocktails were new and different, as has been the case on each of our visits. Simply put, the food, drinks and service were all spectacular. The consistent excellence and variety over all of our four visits makes Traif a can't miss destination. As out-of-towners, I only wish we could get here more often.

I…read morecooked for my friend the other night & he was shocked by "what an amazing cook" I am...joke's on him... all I do is add GPT's Coffee Rub &/or El Capitan to anything and suddenly I'm a genius in the kitchen ;) I have a TON of their spices, trying to remember them all... but my other go-to jars are Black Bear, Dracula's Nightmare, and Sedona Red! My co-worker is a VERY picky cook and is the daughter of an old school Brooklyn butcher; I gifted her some GPT spices over 5 years ago for a holiday gift & she's been a cult follower of theirs ever since!! I also love to send my relatives in California a gift card to Omaha Steaks with a basket of various Greenpoint Trading spices... its a hit every time! I don't write reviews often, but when you walk into their adorable shop in BK, you can't help but to fall in love with them and want to do everything you can to help the brand grow & grow & grow! If you're there on a weekend, you also may get to meet the owners (the cutest married couple) & their adorable little boy who pops in to say hello from time to time :) One last thing... I started following them on Instagram recently & get THE BEST ideas of what the spices are good to use on. For example, I would have never thought to put Coffee Rub on my avocado toast... and now it just seems like cardboard without it!!!

There's an area in the front that was more of a typical restaurant atmosphere, but we sat in the covered garden room in the back, which was a really nice ambiance. We ordered one of their specials, a toast with arugula and beef carpaccio, as well as the squid ink pasta, which came out to be $60 total. The beef carpaccio on the toast was my favorite bite of the meal. The bread was also a good level of crisp, and I liked the flavor of the spread on top. The squid ink pasta had a good tomato and white wine flavor in the sauce, and I enjoyed the al denteness of the noodles. However, I did find the pasta to be a bit sandy, so I don't think the clams were fully cleaned.

The bread was soft and chewy! I would pass on the NY strip steak though, nothing special. I might try the ribeye next time. I did LOVE the bone marrow toast. That was probably my favorite bite of the night. I would also like to try the octopus next time. For dessert, I had the affogato with vanilla hazelnut ice cream and the panna cotta. The panna cotta was the star of the two dishes. I'm curious about the tiramisu too. Another reason to go back!! Overall, would recommend.

L'Industrie Pizzeria has become one of the most talked-about slice shops in New York, known for…read moreserving thin-crust pizza with high-quality ingredients and creative specialty slices. We walked into the Williamsburg location, which has a simple neighborhood feel, but the constant line outside quickly reminded us how popular it has become. The space is compact and functional, with limited seating and a steady flow of customers moving through the counter, but despite the crowds, the operation moves efficiently, making it a manageable stop if you are prepared to wait a bit. The pizza is the main reason to visit, and it is easy to see why it has built such a strong reputation. The crust is thin with a light crisp on the bottom while still staying chewy enough to support the toppings, the balance of textures creating a base that holds up well against the weight of the ingredients. The burrata slice is one of the signatures, with creamy burrata adding richness without overwhelming the rest of the pizza, and the combination of the fresh cheese with the crisp crust and bright tomato sauce makes each bite feel well composed. The fig jam and bacon slice is another standout, balancing sweet and savory flavors in a combination that feels unique without being overdone, and the saltiness of the bacon cuts through the sweetness of the jam, creating a layered flavor profile. Even the classic slices are executed well, with quality ingredients that let the simplicity of New York-style pizza shine. Beyond the pizza, they also offer desserts like soft serve, gelato, and olive oil cake, making it easy to finish your meal without having to stop somewhere else. The menu is not overly large, but there are enough specialty slices to make trying more than one worthwhile, and the quality across the board is consistent enough that even the simpler options feel carefully prepared. The biggest downside is the popularity. Seating is limited, and it is common to encounter a line throughout the day, especially during lunch and dinner hours. If you are hoping to avoid the longest waits, arriving earlier in the day is usually your best option. Fortunately, the staff keep the line moving quickly, so the wait rarely feels excessive, and the turnover is fast enough that even with a queue, the experience stays smooth. L'Industrie Pizzeria lives up to its reputation as one of New York's standout slice shops. The combination of excellent crust, high-quality toppings, and creative specialty pizzas makes it worth the visit, even if you have to wait in line. It is the kind of place that is easy to recommend whether you are grabbing a quick slice or making it a destination during a day exploring Williamsburg, offering a pizza experience that feels both classic and inventive at the same time.

It is definitely the best pizza in the US; I say this even after visiting Frank Pepe and Sally's in New Haven, and it's honestly not even close. On our last day before heading back to SF, we ordered a massive whole pie: half burrata, half pepperoni. It nailed the classic NYC slice with a thin, crisp crust and the perfect balance of cheese and sauce. It was so good that my daughter finished her burrata half over three separate sittings: at the shop, on the plane, and once she got home. The pie just kept calling to her! Be prepared for long lines, but it is worth it (and the Brooklyn location definitely has shorter lines than the Manhattan spots). It's not really a sit-down place, so you just have to grab a spot at the bar-top tables if you can find room. The service was good and fast. The cashier who took our order was amazing--absolutely love her--though she did forget to hand us our chocolate Bombolone. L'Industrie is a premier New York institution and busy for a reason: it is top-quality pizza!

The menu has so many options that I found it hard to choose (which is not a bad thing), but we went with the caesar salad, meatball pie, and gluten free saffron gigli + the rainbow cookie sundae. Caesar salad was delicious but the only caveat was that it was a little small. Wish there was more lettuce on this one! Perfect dressing and light + fresh. Meatball pie- was not one I would have chosen off the bat but I'm glad we did. Very good and the dough is sourdough and perfect. Can't wait to try other pizza options. Saffron Gigli- was very different, but also good. Glad it was gluten free- it's very sweet tho just as a heads up! Rainbow cookie sundae was also very unique and delicious. The rainbow cookies on the side were a little dry but the inside of the sundae was decadent and the vanilla gelato was a really nice touch. The only feedback I'd give is that the prices are very expensive especially for the pizzas, pastas and dessert. Otherwise we would absolutely return! oh also! we originally came in to try the pasta special which offers a few different pastas on one plate and the half pie option but neither were offered when we came in so that was slightly disappointing :/
