I recently wrote a review for Mike's Mobile and was very diappointed to find that my opinion of this business was not recommended. Upon review of the criteria of what makes the so called "recommended" list, and what doesn't, I was even more confused as to why my critique wasn't categorized as recommended. Some of the criteria used for qualifying as "recommended" is that the review should be passionate and based on personal experience. I apologize for not being the most passionate writer, but I can guarantee that my review was based on the numerous experiences I have encoutered as a customer of this repair shop. Additionally, Yelp states that it uses "automated software developed by engineers to recommend reviews from the Yelp community". It goes on to say "the software looks at dozens of different signals, including various measures of quality, reliability, and activity on Yelp. Most of all, however, it's looking for people who are intrinsically motivated to share the wide range of rich and detailed experiences they have every day with local businesses". I am enraged that the time and energy I spent writing this review was considered below par from a software program. If that wasn't bad enough, some of the other factors that this software examines are whether "the review might have been posted by a less established user, or it may seem like an unhelpful rant or rave. Some of these reviews are fakes (like the ones we see originating from the same computer) and some suggest a bias (like the ones written by a friend of the business owner), but many are real reviews from real customers who we just don't know much about and therefore can't recommend" Are you kidding me? Now I'm not only a non-passionate reviewer with limited personal knowledge of this business, I'm a fake and a friend of the business owner. Yelp, all I can say is your assumptions are TOTALLY INCORRECT, I am not a fake and I never knew this man until I started doing business with him. After seeing how my review was handled I am enraged with your assessment of the review I wrote. If you truly do believe you're helping the public decide whether to patronize a business or not, I hope you reconsider the sincerity of my review and show me the respect and the kudos this business deserves by reconsidering my previous review and "RECOMMEND" it. Below is a copy of my the review: I've taken my son's 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel to Mike's since 2012 and, although somewhat pricely, I will be the first to admit that the job always gets done right the firt time. Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Mike and his team of mechanics are very knowledgable and will actually take the time to talk to you and explain every phase of the work that is being performed on your vehicle. Mike truly takes pride in the his work, whether it be installing a new fuel system, servicing your AC, or even fabricating an awesome sub-woofer speaker box for your vehicle's stereo system. What mechanic will call a customer the following day to inquire whether they were satisfied with the work they performed? I only wish I could find a doctor that cared that much! It took me a couple of visits to realize that this man and the people that work for him are the real deal. I would highly recommend Mikes Mobile Auto to anyone who wishes that their vehicle be repaired by a family oriented business who employ highly trained and competent mechanics that take pride in their work and are incredibly attentive to detail. read more

Currently, my nephew's vehicle was towed to a shop by someone about 3 weeks ago. After being at the shop for around two weeks and several calls to inquire about its status, my nephew finally received a response. The owner mentioned he was out of town during the first call and didn't know the vehicle's status, promising to call back once he knew. Despite no follow-up, my nephew persisted and finally got a return call. However, the estimate for repairs exceeds $2000, surpassing the car's value. My nephew requested only a diagnostic test, but the owner proceeded with repairs without permission, demanding $500 for labor already done. Additionally, he mentioned that he had to remove a part and insisted on my nephew towing it, warning that attempting to move it could cause the motor to fall out. My nephew didn't hand over the car in this state! The car could still turn on and move, my nephew didn't drive it because he was concerned about causing further damage. The owner is now demanding either a $500 payment or surrendering the car title, claiming it would settle the issue. This is unacceptable and reflects poor service and customer treatment. This situation is deeply concerning, especially considering my nephew's financial situation and the fact that the car was a gift to help him support his family. I'm outraged by this exploitation and plan to report the shop to the BBB for their unethical practices. If you seek honesty and integrity, this isn't the place to find it. It's just another case of owners exploiting hardworking individuals. Avoid doing business here unless you're prepared to pay more than initially expected. I have an older (2006) Jeep Wrangler and Mike was highly recommended to me (as I'm not from here). What I like about him and his staff is, not only are they professional and welcoming, he actually runs an honest business with strong work ethics. As with anything in life, "You get what you pay for." So if you want someone to do CHEAP, rigged repairs without regard to you or your loved one's SAFETY (not to mention the inconvenience of being broke down somewhere)...only to cost you MORE in repairs to get it done RIGHT, then I recommend you go with some fly-by-nighter who will be happy to take your money without those concerns. BUT... If you want someone who can legitimately explain to you what the problem is after running necessary tests, someone who will let you know if this is actually safe or not to drive, someone who does QUALITY work, then, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend MIKE'S MOBILE AUTO SERVICE. I believe Mike and his crew to be very hard workers working diligently to meet top-notch standards. (He'll even show you the online prices on his monitor!) ...and he honors his warranties. I personally like that he's a family man. BTW: If you ever need to get towed there, check into your insurance company to see if they reimburse you for that tow. (Mine does.) Best wishes! read more

Let me just say it's hard to trust anyone working on your vehicle now a days. I hired someone on social media that I don't want to mention that broke off the bolt on my starter which lead to cracking my tranny case.... then left me high and dry. I heard about Mikes through a friend and I went to check out his shop... I was pretty darn impressed with his A plus shop. I towed my Bronco over there and I thought he was going to have a hard time finding another case since I called everyone in Texas and could not find one.... Mike said this is my job I do it everyday. Since my personal dealings with Mike's I have sent several of my close friends to this shop. I rarely suggest any business to anyone cause I don't want them to come back and complain to me for sending them, but in this case I am very comfortable , and I know they will be treated with the service and care that I received. They are all top notch, and know their business. Also I would like to add that I have told my boss about them and have sent three of our trucks there with different problems, and my boss is very happy with the speed and accuracy of their work, and I look good. I was told by a mechanic shop that my vehicle's problem could only be diagnosed by the Dodge dealership. One phone call revealed that the Dodge dealership could not make an appointment to see my van for two months!! I remembered that a friend of mine told me that Mike is the BEST diagnostician in town and I recalled that my last van was well cared for by his shop. Mike has the DODGE DIAGNOSTIC tools just like the dealership! He got me back on the road quickly so I didn't have to worry about breaking down while waiting for the dealership. read more

Mike has rebuilt my LS3 engine on my 2011 Camaro SS. My car couldn't be any more perfect then what him and the mechanics there has done for me. I finally found an honest mechanic. After spending $12K and two different mechanics trying to get our truck fixed with no resolution, I took our truck to Mike's after someone said that he had helped them. He not only fixed our truck, he fixed it and didn't charge us an unreasonable rate. His price was more than fair!!! It is so refreshing to find someone whose handshake means what it should! It seems that yelp only puts reviews out that downgrade business. the ones that give good reviews are disreguarded.
