We're on a vacation and were looking for a place in Limketkai complex that's open at 7am for…read morebreakfast. Missy Bonbon opens earlier than that and the staff provided us with a warm welcome. They provided us with exceptional service. The food came in about less than 10 minutes. They have a variety of pastries, gelato, shakes, coffee, western and Filipino cuisine. We opted to get Filipino dishes to taste the local Filipno cuisine, and we were all satisfied. The owner came to check things out and was kind and friendly. The place was clean, and the ambiance was warm, and lovely. The place looked like, well put together from the personalized table napkin, interior design, and food. The food price is reasonable too. We only spent about US $50 for a family of 5 adults. And I had a hot cocoa, that tasted so authentic that I could really taste that pure cocoa in it. I love Swissmiss hot cocoa, but oh boy! That local hot cocoa at Missy Bonbon, is really extra special. My daughter asked me why, I was not drinking much of my hot cocoa yet while eating my bangus with garlic rice and egg, and I told my daughter, "because I'm saving the best for last!".

To be honest, I was expecting some heavenly taste with their pastry. I mean, this bakery is…read moresituated near the mall's bakery where the bread there costs like half or even quarter of the price here. I tried out their yema bread (creamy bread with sweetened milk on the inside) and coffee. Neither tastes above average. Service is good though since manager is visible and helps out in decision making.

Their saving grace - their cakes. While Lachi's is a good place for cheap meals (that's people find…read moreextremely good but it's actually just average) their cakes take them to a whole other level! Meals cost around 110-250 depends on what you're gonna eat. It's a pretty hearty meal, there's a lot of food served and a lot of rice but still, it's really nothing that great. More like a 6/10. But if you try their cakes... It's a definite 11/10. I love their matcha cheesecake so much! Their blueberry, strawberry cheesecakes and creme brûlée cake is also reaaallllyyy good so if you go there I suggest you get those cakes! I also suggest you reserve a table ahead of time because it's usually full. Also parking depends on whether there's a lot of people around the area or not because they don't have their own parking area, you just park on the streets so that's that. ALSO - don't be surprised with their service. The waitresses and everyone working there are basically bitches (not even kidding) they can be rude and they never smile and always take your orders and etc like they're tortured for it (I swear it's annoying) but if you want to try their cakes you'd have to endure the service.

A must try when in Davao City. This is a place Dabawenyos come back to time and time again. The…read morefood is still the best and it's affordable. There are several signature dishes I don't get tired of eating again and again and again. These are... Asian chicken, laing, callos, mechado, and the unforgettable ribs. The salpicado is not bad too. Call in to reserve a table as it gets crowded. If you do so, it would be polite to show up on time or call back for cancellation so they can free up the table for someone else. Their desserts are one of Davao's best, especially the sansrival.
