Prices can vary from good to expensive but always helpful staff and located in centre of the town near one of the large car parks making it easy to carry heavy items back to the car. This store has been around now for quite a while and seems to have a good customer support and reputation although has been known to be expensive by some. Well worth checking out and comparing to where currently use to see if any better or cheaper.

There seems to be more stock for dogs than anything else but then again, I was only really looking at dog things.... From what I could tell, your dog would love anything you bring back for them! On sale are new beds (you can even choose a lining that kind of looks like rolls of carpet), tasty-sounding treats, rawhide chews, training equipment, pick 'n' mix biscuits, and both dry and wet food (in both small and bulk sizes). Plus this store didn't seem super expensive. The shop floor staff member I dealt with was nice enough and I saw him being very helpful to a senior citizen. On the other hand, the cashier who served me seemed bored out her mind, repeating the same message to each customer in monotone and being more concerned with vanity than customers. Still, she did her job and I brought my dogs some own brand 'gourmet' dog treats that were 3 for the price of 2. Safe to say the pups absolutely love them, especially the chicken and rice pops. I'm going back to see what other treats they have in stock!

Inside there's also the groom room and vets. There's a display of cute rabbits and other rodents in the centre behind the tills. On the far right are fishies and reptiles. It doesn't gey busy but children do frequent and disrupt the general peace. I always go off to the left for all the doggie stuff. You often see shoppers with their furry companions down this side too. The range of dog food is quite good where you can get quite specific and high-end brands. The treats I feel are a little lacking and expensive but there are some nice natural treats for the pups. The bed selection is decent if not pricey. You don't have much range of choice though if you have bigger dogs. The toy section is kind of small but it has enough to keep the dogs busy. I can't really speak from any other pet owner perspective however, friends with cats seem happy with P@H, as do friends with rodents and fish.

I adopted two mature moggies from Benton shelter in 2010. Both were 8 years old and had been…read morewaiting for their forever home quite a while when I met them. It was love at first sight and I had a fab four years with one and another 12.5 years with the other (sadly died in February 2022). The cats were perfect in every sense and Benton rehired them in a safe and professional manner. No complaints from me - or the mogs I adopted, both settled well and were beautiful friends. I've donated a small amount each month to the shelter since adopting the cats and will continue. When I'm over the recent loss, I'll certainly go to Benton to see if I can rescue another mature moggie. Well done Benton, you do a wonderful job giving unwanted animals a much needed second chance.
