Convenient stop as it's right on Mile 0 of the Alaska Highway. It's huge! The showers were clean. There's also a museum on site which focuses on the history of the Alaska Highway. Donations only. The museum is packed with info about the area, lots of exhibits. We walked to the nearby grocery store, about a half mile away. Pretty reasonable in price too. read more

This was a 1 night stop for us on our way traveling north. It was a good stop for us, we got laundry done quickly and easily on site. We didn't have time to do much except go to see the O milepost sign. read more

Staying here one night. 7-15-2019, on our way to Alaska. No problem getting in without a reservation. Picked this place because other was filled with caravans. Spaces are a tad close but plenary long for our 38 class A with tow. Laundry is affordable but facilities need some tlc. The office guy, was so nice. Next door is Pioneer Village, old buildings, amazing history, even the old cafe building was serving burgers! You just wander as you please in n out of the buildings, all for a "you decide donation". We'd stay here again. read more

Plenty of flat open space on Rotary Lake lawn for about $20 a nite... What's not to like? Warm shower and clean toilet are within short walking distance away. Dawson Creek town is only 1mi away for needed supplies and foods. 5min drive will get you to Mile "0" post of the famed Alaska Highway (Alcan). Will stay here again on our trip back. read more

At the junction of the Alaska Highway and the Hart Highway so a bit of truck and motorcycle noise. Not very level parking slots very close together. Crowded site when busy. Washrooms and showers are badly painted and dirty, Red floors and dark green walls, a stage in Dante's descent perhaps? Staff are friendly but apparently not motivated. Price is on the high side for the location and the services offered, but the dirty showers mean the roadside rest areas outside of town are a better bet. Other campgrounds in the town are better according to the information bureau. read more

Go here if this is a last resort, otherwise find another campground. I got here late at night after the office had closed, and the sign on the door said to find an open site and then pay in the morning. I looked around in a complete downpour, and finally found a spot where I set up my tent. In the morning when I went in to pay for the site, they charged me the rate for a full RV hookup, because "That's the site you took, so you pay the price." despite only having a tent. I politely asked where then were the tent sites, and the clerk just pointed in a random direction saying "All the way back there." This was news to me, as there was no campground diagram at the office, nor was there any signage. Additionally, this place is downright noisy due to it being located right next to the highway, so don't count on getting a good night's rest. read more
