The…read morestaff were so patient, well informed, and friendly (even when some potential customers got rude because they had filled up all possible appointments for that day). My mom and sister got a few old piercings re-opened and a few new ones as well. Staff are great about explaining everything and were super careful about keeping everything clean, lots of hand washing, multiple sets of gloves, everything sealed and opened in front of you. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Tip: just because they only take walk-ins (unless it's a child's appointment) does not mean there is endless availability (especially on the weekends). When we visited they only had one piercer in, and early in the day filled up their queue and had to turn some folks away. So if you're driving a distance or can't come back another time your best bet is to wait for a weekday, or on the weekends arrive when they open and be willing to kill some time around town. Calling ahead probably wouldn't hurt either.

I explained some issues I've had with buying crappy jewelry in the past and she didn't shame me about it, but instead offered advice on how to keep my piercings healthy while not using the greatest quality jewelry until i'm able to upgrade it to better stuff in the future. While the jewelry is expensive, the quality is amazing and the pieces are beautiful. If you're going to buy real gold pieces that are going to last, you'll have to know it's going to be a bit more pricey. Regardless of this, Nina never made me feel pressured to buy anything and made me feel so comfortable the entire process. She's extremely personable and kind, and I had a great time chatting with her throughout the process. My first tattoo was quoted at 650 dollars and as a heavily tattooed person I expected it to take one to two sessions. It ended up taking four sessions and over a thousand dollars. One of the sessions was never even booked so when I arrived for the third session my artist had no idea it was even happening. I gave the shop another chance for a simple line design, but the appointment started at 11 and when the artist showed up at the same time as me, we didn't start tattooing till 1.5 hours in and I left with only one boob done. I've now spent multiple days driving 5 hours total to this shop, waiting, healing, and now my tattoo that should have been done today is going to take three sessions total. The artist is personable, and I really like him and he's the only reason I was ever going to come back after the first situation but professionalism and respect for clients' time have been major issues and staff clearly could care less about peoples time or money. I personally wouldn't go here but if you feel so inclined id get the cost in writing and make sure that if the artist is slower that they don't charge you for that.

I paid $$$ money for a 3 finger tattoo, and instead, I got a six week henna!

It was my first time in the area on business and met Ben through a friend last Monday. Within 20 minutes, I felt like we were old buddies. Ben was just beginning work on a 3/4 sleeve that day around noon. I ran my idea by Ben and asked if he could fit me in that day as I was leaving to return to Georgia the next morning. As a tribal contisour, it is very difficult to find an artist that can flow a tribal as well as free hand it the way you want it. I Went to Bens Shop when he first opened up and was one of his first customers, he was a pretty cool dude and drew up an original picture after I explained what I wanted... Ben is a sweet and attentive wizard who will definitely make sure you are happy with what is going on your body. He doesn't have that "bad attitude" that I have gotten from artists/piercers in the past because I am a small 20-something girl. Really great experience. Ben the owner is extremely laid back, friendly, and made the entire experience better. I was a little bit nervous to get my rook pierced and I told him so all of a sudden he opened the back door in the piercing room, whistled, and his three boxers came to the door to calm me down (they weren't allowed in because the place is very sterile) which was amazing. Harrison is a really nice kid, very polite. But he has shaky hands. I gave him multiple chances to prove me wrong but it was awful every time, he couldn't get jewelry out or in and even got nervous before giving me a piercing. I asked if he noticed the L in "Let" he said "what about it". I then told him i think making the bottom of the "L" line a bit thicker would maybe fix it. I asked him if he thinks so and he replied with "I don't know, we'll see". His attitude and demeanor towards me after I spoke up about my tattoo just wasn't great. Overall, I am glad I got my tattoo, I do like it, but the experience and outcome of it could have been much better.
