Dr. Natasha Mitra at Mile High Primary Care is is the best doctor I have ever had. She is caring, kind, and concerned. She actually listens to you and she arranges for further testing if she thinks there might be an issue that needs to be looked at a little closer. read more

Saw Dr Smyth, he was good. He was not covered under my insurance. All the other providers were. My insurance is United Healthcare. United Healthcare owns Optum New West physicians. The insurance discount for my prescription refill appointment is $90 for CPT code 99214. The office is charging me $399 for self pay patient. I have insurance. They were not covered, and t my insurance company owns Optum, the company that owns their practice. I have been going there for 10+ years. They will not give me the discounted insurance price that they should have been paid from United Healthcare. This was $90. They are charging 4 times the price ($399). DO NOT GO THERE! FAIL TO DRAW BLOOD THEN CHARGES YOU!! Business practice is horrible. They fail to draw your blood and send you some where else and then charge you for failing to draw your blood. This is a very poorly run office. As a medical professional I havent seen a more disorganized, unprofessional, and cluster F**** of an office. With the exception of DR Lewis, office fails to meet patients basic needs from a basic medication refill, to follow up calls, communication skills, or ability to take new insurance over the phone must take hard copy in out of your way. It will be well over a month before I can get my 1 and only medication filled. If you could go anywhere else I would recommend it. read more

She NEVER asks how you are, she NEVER smiles at anyone and most of the time she IGNORES patients and stares at her computer screen silently as if you haven't spoken to her. 10 years ago Claudia NEVER would have gotten a job dealing with medical patients. I've have been to this doctor's office 3x in the past year and never once did I ever see the doctor. I entered as a new patient in 2018 and the doctor never once came to see me. On my 3 appointment, I thought I broke my ankle, I scheduled an appointment asking to see the doctor, when I arrived I found out I was seeing the new PA. Never once did the scheduler inform me that I was not going to see the doctor. The PA was clueless and luckily my chiropractor was much more informative of my injury, treatment, and prognosis. Thus, I have decided that was my last visit. In addition the office receptionist is unfriendly and even my mother who had to drive me when I thought I broke my ankle commented so. I do not understand how this office got any stars. read more

Several of the doctors and the PAs are good, but the office management is horrible. They have never returned a message and also don't respond to prescription refill requests via their process. The receptionist staff are obviously unhappy and unhelpful. After 4 years, I realize this will not change and I am changing primary care physicians. read more

Made an enormous mistake when I decided to give them a 2nd go after my first experience left a bad taste in my mouth. About 8 years ago was my first run-in with Dr. Scott. It was summer, I was coughing up blood, finally decided to see a doctor about it. Was pretty routine, I was asked about health conditions, I mentioned that I had scoliosis. Dr. Scott was very terse, he jabbed at my spine a few times before declaring "You do not have scoliosis." Well, fast forward 20 minutes after he reviewed the chest x-rays they had just taken. He came back, trying to be a little more friendly, and confirmed that I do have scoliosis. The scoliosis is so minor and irrelevant, it wasn't even worth his telling me I didn't have it the first place; I was there because I was coughing up blood. But Dr. Scott was SO RUDE and dismissive of me, I hoped I would never have to see him again. I did not return for many years, and I shouldn't have. Last January, I started having all kinds of health issues rather suddenly. I first called around trying to find a decent Primary Care Physician, but none of the places I was recommended were accepting new patients at the time. My father goes here, unfortunately, and was my last option as I was quite desperate for help. The desperation persisted for 5 months after my first visit in January. I was seeing Michaela (sp) Sutton in lieu of Dr. Colander since I was so desperate for some kind of help. My symptoms never changed from day one, and they NEVER figured out what was going on. I should have known better when she scoffed at me while describing symptoms, seemed like she couldn't figure out what was going on, so I must be making it up. I had an ultrasound, an EMG, an endoscopy, some tests for some stomach bacteria, etc, etc. I understand the need to check things off one by one, however in retrospect, it was CLEAR the whole time what my symptoms were caused by. Come June, I was as bad as ever w/ no answers. I decided ON MY OWN ACCORD, to seek out an otolaryngologist and allergy specialist. This was NEVER recommended to me in my months of visits at MHPC. It was immediate, the change of atmosphere. Got the feeling from the first visit that these people actually cared about me, understood my symptoms, and WANTED to get me on a path to recovery and management. They had an allergy test done via blood sample since they determined I was at high risk of anaphylaxis and asthmatic reaction. Found that I had developed several food allergies, as well a huge increase in seasonal and environmental triggers. My IGE count was almost off the scale. I was basically having a months-long allergic reaction that Michaela Sutton, under Dr. Colanders advise, could not figure out from day one, and subsequently could not point me to the right specialist. Instead, I spent THOUSANDS of dollars and wasted much time on all kinds of other, irrelevant tests. I felt as if each visit was just them trying to pawn me off on someone else, while still collecting on me. I was also experiencing numbness in my left arm/hand which they could not figure out. Was not sure if all the symptoms were related, that's why you go to a Dr. right? So they can sort symptoms and get you on your way to recovery. Mile High Primary Care has felt like a money sink. Whatever it takes to get you out the door, and back in for another brief, pointless visit. Seeking out myself a spine specialist revealed that I have TOS. I must say, I had 1 visit with Amanda Ying for a sinus infection, and she was very thorough and caring. I can't say this about any of the other staff. The office staff has also been very cold and dismissive each time they'd get me set up in a room. My guess - low morale. Today, I came in to have staples removed from a laceration. Very simple, yes, but I've also missed the past 2 days of work due to what seems to be a re-emergence of symptoms and not being able to keep food down. I thought I would see what they had to say while I was in there. Well, perhaps I kept Dr. Scott a little longer than he would have liked, but this is because he PREVARICATES like a champion. Never a straight answer, always shrugging off my concern. Would not prescribe an Epi pen, despite the urging of my allergy doctor to have one prescribed by my PCP. He cared not at all about my other symptoms, talked down to me, and was just as rude at the end as the first day I encountered him when he barked at me that I didn't have scoliosis. Dismissive, prevaricating, rude. I asked if my PCP is really not going to prescribe me an Epi pen? He said no, I should go back to my allergy doctor, whom he seemed very salty about my going to instead of the doctor he would have recommended. The sad truth is that if they had cared at ALL when I was first having these issues, they could have recommended me to his Allergy Specialist. They didn't. Saw him shaking his head as he wormed down the hall back to his office. That was it for me. Should have just gone to an urgent care. AVOID!!! read more

I have been a patient at Mile High Primary Care for many years. Dr. Lewis and his staff are fantastic. I have never had a problem getting an appointment in a timely manner. Dr. Lewis is knowledgeable, caring, and thorough. He does an excellent job of really listening to his patients and does not rush through appointments. Mile High Primary Care also incorporates a "Patient Portal" that allows patients to send private messages to the doctors regarding medical issues. I have never waited longer than a few hours for a response (sometimes much quicker) to a personal message and this feature allows followup questions directly to the doctors without the need to schedule additional appointments or leave long messages with the office staff. The portal also allows patients the ability to view medical test results, view medical records, and print immunization records. I have been very impressed with this medical practice and their use of modern technology to make life easier on their patients. read more
