On September 6, 2018 I was the little old lady on the television who falls and screams, "Help I…read morefell and I can't get up! " I fell and could hear something crack and I could not get up. I broke the ball of the hip and so received a partial replacement by Dr. Troy Foster (excellent surgeon) at BMC in Martinsburg. I knew exactly where I wanted to start my rehabilitation since I live alone: at this awesome facility. With my right knee replacement in 2013 I made the mistake of going to a nursing home. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!! I did not know about War Memorial. I stayed only a week. Right hip replacement was necessary in 2016 because sharp pain was radiating all around the right pelvis. Now a fall and replacing the left hip. Nursing care here is excellent and they really work with you to stay on top of your pain level. The therapy team is just as awesome as the nurses. Dana is the Physical Therapist. Cheryl is the Occupational Therapist and Kayla is the Certified Occupational Assistant. Believe me you'll need both therapies. Occupational Therapy to strengthen you and Physical Therapy to move you.

I called and asked if I could cancel or postpone my membership. I was told I could with a dr excuse. So I had one faxed. I realized almost 6 weeks later the money was not refunded. So hand delivered a note from dr and turned in the key card. That was two weeks ago and nothing. Lesson learned. In November when I am able to join a fitness center it will be ProCare .

As an active duty military member, who travels several times a month, I asked if they had a membership that would accommodate me. At first they didn't respond at all. I checked in twice and received no return phone call. I then finally contacted them via facebook, and they said they could give me a monthly membership or by the day. I tried to explain that I was away for several weeks a month, but the by-day rate was too expensive. The management was not willing to consider an option for me, so I took my business elsewhere. I also have no hesitation to tell others the experience I had.
