Elizabeth was great to work with from the very beginning. She answered emails very quickly and helped us prepare for pictures; she stayed in contact from beginning to end. As for the day of pictures, we had quite the adventure during our shoot due to some nasty little dune flies! Elizabeth took us to THREE different locations. I felt so bad, but she was on a mission and happily kept trying! Even when a park ranger denied us access to a park minutes before it closed, she quickly got us to another beach so we could catch the perfect light. I'm SO happy she was so diligent because those are some of my favorite pictures! I am a huge fan of family pictures and I usually enjoy them all, but NO ONE has captured my daughters so perfect. They look beautiful, but most important, their personalities shine through so clearly! Usually, we end up with the typical staged photos (which I also love and did receive from Elizabeth), but we also have these wonderful candid photos showing my family in such a beautiful, natural way. My family wanted to have some portraits taken on the beach during our family vacation this year so we hired Elizabeth to come to our rental house to take the pictures. Her website and appointment scheduling process was easy to use and she was very responsive whenever I had any questions. The day of the photo shoot, she arrived at our rental early to scout out the best place to take a picture. Elizabeth was ever the professional, providing directions and while maintaining her kind demeanor throughout. When some of the kids got cranky and needed a break or there were beach goers who crept into our shots, Elizabeth was flexible and patient to make sure she got good pictures of everyone. I received the proofs of the pictures and was blown away by the quality of the pictures and how well she was able to capture so many special unplanned moments in addition to the posed portraits. We booked Elizabeth for a family/maternity photo shoot on the beach during our Outer Banks vacation last month. Elizabeth was diligent in her communication with us before the shoot, including working with us around some nasty weather (first night was cancelled, but she had reserved the next night for that contingency, and when it looked like it might storm again, was able to move our session up so we missed the storms). Since we had told her that we wanted to use at least one of the shots as a pregnancy announcement, she very graciously sent us a teaser proof set (4 images) within 24 hours of our shoot -- that was awesome. The rest of the proof set was also delivered very quickly. And the images themselves are top notch! We had a ton of great shots to choose from in ordering our prints, and opted to receive the digital images as well. Highly recommend this photographer and would definitely book again! read more

We are a large family (15 in all) with a couple of grandkids with special needs. The week of our family vacation, Elizabeth Neal came to take our portraits on the beach. She skillfully handled the group, from the youngest to the oldest, and made the photo shoot fun for all of us. We really enjoyed our time with her. And her pictures were absolutely beautiful; I will treasure them always. When I ordered our canvas, one that featured the whole family, it was hard to find one with a good expression on every person. But Liz wrote me that she had photo-shopped my grandson's head from another frame, so it was perfect. I highly recommend Liz for her professionalism, patience, and good humor. Not only was Elizabeth able to help me out with proposal photos on incredibly short notice, but she also went above and beyond in all aspects. Having never been to the area Elizabeth gave me suggestions on places to take the pictures, maps on where specifically to go, and even places to eat afterwards. With all the help Elizabeth provided as I was able to focus on making our day as special as possible. Elizabeth was also incredibly fast with getting our beautiful photos to us. We had low res photos within one or two hours and she shipped about the high res photos after only a few days.
