Biscoff Waffle which btw tasted nothing like biscoff. Barely any biscoff sauce on it, no cookies or nothing.

Terrible experience! We are so sad because it was our first time there and we were celebrating an anniversary. Well our server was training and DID NOT care at all. The service was beyond awful. She came to our table twice. Once to grab our order and 45 minutes later to have us pay. Didnt check to see if we liked the food, if we needed refills nothing. Nothing at all. Didnt tell us that they ran our of eggs until we got our order. I asked the host for a manager which she then replies we have no manager here right now. It was truly the most insane thing ever. Yea I promise you I wont be back to this location ever.

I visited Milk & Honey for brunch for the first time and was overall impressed by the atmosphere and ambiance. The space has a warm, inviting vibe that makes it a nice spot to relax and catch up with friends. I made a reservation and was accommodated immediately, which set a positive tone for the experience. The menu offers a wide range of options, and it was a bit of a hard choice. I ultimately settled on the chicken and waffles, which was a solid pick. The flavor of the dishes I tried wasn't bad at all; the food tasted good and had a comforting brunch profile. However, there were a few consistency issues that stood out during our visit: The biggest drawback was that the food arrived not hot, but warm. Even my coffee was served cold, and my honey latte, while flavorful, was lukewarm. While the service staff were extremely friendly, we did experience some lapses in getting items we requested. We had to remind the server about coffee for one guest, ensure everyone had the water we asked for, and confirm orange juice for my child. I wouldn't write Milk & Honey off as a bad spot, but the little details matter a lot for a brunch experience. If they can tighten up the kitchen temp consistency and improve attentiveness (getting drinks and water refills out promptly), this place could really shine. Would I return? Possibly, given the atmosphere and menu variety, but I'd hope for improved heat consistency and smoother service on a return visit. If you go, I'd suggest arriving with a little extra time to settle in and keep an eye on drink refills and timing.

The family and I can here for brunch on. Saturday to celebrate a birthday and we enjoyed our experience! Definitely recommend making a reservation for ease of getting seating, our reservation was a noon and it was already pretty busy inside. Service was efficient, our server was a gem. She checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. I loved the music was giving us a vibe which added to the ambience. Our food was tasty! Highly recommended the Steak and Eggs! Also do yourself a favor and get an order of biscuits! We even took some home! All in all, I'd come back again!

Portions | Comprehensive | New Portions: The portions here are very generous--you definitely get your money's worth. I typically finish my meal 90-95% of the time, but I only made it halfway through my chicken and waffles. Come hungry; you'll need the appetite. The serving sizes alone make this spot a strong value. Comprehensive: The space is large and lively, offering a bit of everything--a full bar with drinks and mocktails, TVs, and even art on the walls that appears to be for sale. The menu is equally extensive, covering a wide range of food and drink options. However, there might be too much going on. The tables are tightly packed, making it difficult to move without bumping into other guests or décor. The noise level was also quite high, which made conversation at our table challenging at times. New: This is a newer location for the restaurant (their original is in Old Town Alexandria), and it shows--they're still working through some growing pains. Our server was kind but couldn't answer several menu questions and seemed a bit overwhelmed. The payment system also had some glitches. That said, the food came out impressively fast, which balanced things out. Why Not Five Stars? A combination of slow service, tight seating, loud atmosphere, and operational hiccups keeps this from a full five-star experience--for now. I'll be back early next year to see if things have smoothed out, because the food quality and portions make it worth another visit. Pro Tips: - 15% military discount--a great perk. - Plenty of parking available. - they have women owned beverages that are annotated on their wine/drink list. Which is an interesting highlight.

This location is fairly new so wasn't sure how busy it would be. Made reservations just in case. It wasn't busy, got seated quickly by the friendly hostesses. The dining area was elegant yet casual and very clean. Our server came by quickly. She was attentive throughout. We ordered the steak and eggs, the crispy salmon hash and the tail of two fish. All of our dishes were delicious! The fish was fried and seasoned perfectly. Grits were creamy. The salmon was fried well and did not taste greasy, hash with the cream sauce was yummy. Steak was cooked as ordered and tender; eggs cooked over medium as ordered as well. We are looking for a restaurant to host our son's graduation dinner next year and this location is definitely on our list to consider!

Customer Service- excellent. Shelby was our waitress and she was super sweet and friendly. Service- There are a few kinks to work out, as I understand this location is new. Utensils should be brought out with the menus. We witnessed 3 other tables asking for utensils, as well as ourselves. Of course they were brought out shortly after asking, but that should be a no-brainer. Our food came out before we had utensils. Same with the other tables. In addition, we ordered two drinks from the bar, both which came out after our food was almost finished. So, it could just be a timing issue. Location is perfectly situated in the Cardinal Forest shopping plaza. We opted to sit outside and the ambience in and out was very nice. Food- we opted for the deep fried salmon hash, which is the normal go to. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The sauce was on the runnier side, but it still tasted great. Definitely have high hopes for this restaurant. With more time, im sure all the kinks will be worked out. Thanks again, Shelby!!!

We checked out the new location in Springfield and the inside is beautiful! The food had great flavor and the biscuits were the perfect texture. The only downside was slow service, but it was the opening, so I can understand some growing pains. They have a bar area and table seating, and it looked like it was already getting busy but the time we left at 1030.

Cheesecake Pancake! So OMG delicious!!!

I highly recommend Milk & Honey! They know hospitality, service, and food! Their selection is beautifully presented. The food doesn't only look good! Trust me - everything they brought out tasted fantastic! And I rarely say something is fantastic. That's my highest mark of measure! I put this restaurant on my "Must come back" list. Again and again!! Love this place!

Shrimp and grits

Had dinner here tonight. The food was just really average. We started with the biscuits, which were not hot. It was served with cold butter, a terrible combination. If the biscuits aren't going to be hot, the butter should at least be room temperature so you can spread it. I had the shrimp and grits with sausage. No big complaints, it just didn't knock my socks off. My mom had the chicken and waffles. They were just okay. I didn't like that the fried chicken was boneless. It's like the difference between a fried drumstick and a chicken tender. I had Astro Beer Hall's chicken and waffles last weekend, and that was heads and shoulders better. We were hoping this could be our soul food go-to replacement for Della J's, but the soul was lacking.

My friend and I met for brunch around 10 a.m. on a Tuesday, and unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. The lighting inside was extremely dim--so much so that we could barely see our food. We were also told that they weren't serving lattes or espresso because their machine was broken, which was disappointing for a brunch spot. My friend ordered the avocado toast, and it didn't taste right. Because it was so dark inside, we used our iPhone flashlight and noticed the avocado was brown. When we brought it up to our waitress, she tried to explain that brown avocado is normal and it tastes better that way. We disagreed and asked for a new one. The replacement looked much fresher and tasted better, which confirmed our concern. It was our first time visiting, and overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Solid 4 stars! Drinks are on point! Food coming out of the kitchen all looks mouthwatering. The Crispy Calamari was the best I've had in years. Decor is nice! Service is great. Great hip music playing at hit the right volume level. Great place for large groups gathering after work.

Good is amazing, I got the shrimp and grits and they were amazing, the best I've had. The biscuits were good, but I must preferred the squid. The service was pretty good and quick.

Half biscoff waffle, Mac n cheese, honey old bay wings, and peach mimosa!

I would have loved to be seated next the the staircase because it has some nice sight lines. The restaurant is so clean and nicely decorated as if you stepped into a homey yet lux cabin restaurant. It just feels....comforting. There were a lot of people dining here but the noise level was surprisingly minimal. The service is impeccable. Every waiter was attentive. Someone even asked us if we wanted another drink when our glasses were full. Never in my life has that happen to me. Lol The server was very knowledgeable about everything and left me to decided between all the wonderful options they offer. And they have OPTIONS. I heard the steak is banging. I'll be back... Now let's talk about these Ozzie dinner rolls. Bomb! End of story. And in my Nike voice....Just do it. In other words stuff your face and get some to go. I got blessed with 2 baskests and a bag to go. Won't he do it. My son enjoyed his little Mac aka his burger and fries but was too full to finish the fries because he stuff his face with Ozzie dinner rolls. So be careful yall. You have been warned. I orderer the pecan trout which was a very interesting take on baked fish and yet it was still good. I'm not raving about it. But it was good. Nice thing is they give you to pieces of trout 1 for now and 1 for later because yes I stuffed my face with those darn Ozzie rolls. Smh I had my eyes set on that deep dish apple pie and I shall return to try it and other menu items..like that banging steak. My leftovers hit the spot. I had enough for a whole lunch the next day. Saved me extra resources. Everything tasted even better the next day. Like the seasoning settled in and exploded into deliciousness. Peoples I say this with love...Don't come here because I don't want yall taking up all the free parking spaces available. Lol this is my new go to spot.

Very mediocre food, great service, good drink options, all in a hotel restaurant environment…read more We came here after work and were all staying at the Marriott so it was convenient. It's a nice atmosphere, not too stuffy but elegant enough for a nice dinner. The drinks are good, well mixed, and nice options whether you drink wine, beer, cocktails, or non-alcoholic options. The food, however, is very mediocre. They started with an amuse-bouche that was a fruit tart with cheese. Nice, light, and well balanced. We ordered the tuna tartare, along side a Japanese sweet potato dish and a salmon tartare that were both specials. The tartares were fine. Something you would get anywhere. The presentation was nice but their crisp or cracker was kind of useless as it doesn't have the structural strength to use as a vessel to eat the fish. The sweet potato was probably the best in terms of flavor albeit very rich. The main course is well things really fell apart. The beef dishes people ordered were either under cooked or over cooked. I got the grilled prawns which were limp and mushy. The veggies were underseasoned. The braised beef was small. I think everyone was underwhelmed with the main course. It's fine as a after work dinner spot but if you care about food, there are better options nearby.

Pro tip - restaurant is cashless, so have your card handy. There wasn't a bar tender available until 11, so unfortunately we didn't get any mimosas (which we were planning on for our bubbly brunch!). The scones (at $10) were delicious, particularly the lemon curd. I just wish you got more than 2 for that price. Several of us ordered the eggs Benedict. Eggs were perfectly poached and the bakery style English muffin was perfect. I found the Virginia ham overwhelmingly salty, but the salad was a nice compliment. The waiter was awesome and so nice. Staff wrote my friend a congrats card, as we were celebrating the soon-to-be birth of her baby.

That thoughtfulness is one of the many reasons I was excited to try it. When we arrived, I was initially concerned after learning that the "G" on the menu indicated dishes **containing** gluten rather than being gluten-free. Since many menu items were marked with a "G," I worried my options would be very limited, especially for the unlimited brunch experience. Thankfully, our server, Emma, immediately put me at ease. She brought me the food allergy menu, answered my questions with patience, and made sure I understood what was safe for me to enjoy. While my husband and I were deciding whether to stay, the manager, Antonio, came to our table after Emma shared my dietary concerns. His kindness completely changed the experience. He took the time to explain my options, offered to have the kitchen modify several dishes, and reassured me that their goal was for me to feel safe and enjoy my meal. Thanks to Emma and Antonio, what started with uncertainty became one of the most enjoyable brunch experiences I've had. I was able to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes, the mimosas were a great value, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light. What I'll remember most, though, is how genuinely cared for I felt. Before we left, Antonio stopped by one last time to make sure I was happy with my meal and that all of my needs had been met. My husband had put so much love and intention into choosing this restaurant, and thanks to Emma and Antonio, we both left with happy hearts and full bellies. If you have food intolerances or dietary restrictions, I hope this review gives you confidence to visit Ambar. Their team didn't just accommodate my needs. They made me feel welcome, respected, and cared for. That's the kind of hospitality that earns five stars from me.

The place looks new, the kind of place you wanna wear clean clothes at a minimum and not look slovenly. Outside sitting, full large bar, sports on several TVs above the center of the bar, and a lot of servers milling around here. Great lighting, not loud but not quiet either, just chill. We were starved so our eyes ate. Brunch was still being served till 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays so I grabbed the French Toast and the Steak and Eggs. My friend had allergies with gluten so she went with a salmon and some super salad dish. She was happy as all the dishes had markers for gluten free, food free, soul free, etc. Very helpful for all allergy infused humans. Great waitress btw. Fantastic service. Food came after some time, we requested for everything to come out on time. Steak and egg was okay but I'd go with the prime rib next time. The steak came out sliced with 2 poached eggs on top. The hash on the side was on point. Salmon okay too. Salad was okay but we should have added a protein on top. A little dry on dressing maybe but we could have requested more so that's on us. On the other hand, the French toast had me scratching my head. It was cubed challah bread but eggs was 0, zero, nada eggs on it. I thought I was eating croutons which would have gone great with the super salad dish thinking about it now. The French toast really bunched up my undies, French toast is my favorite breakfast thing you see. They explained it was prepped that way for allergy sake due to the egg. Well, I'm not allergic and never said I was, but my friend was but she wasn't eating my dish so why make it in this fashion. Overall, this experience was just okay. Nice environment and service but I realized how lucky I am not to be allergic cause if I have to eat French toast like this forever, I'm not sure what to do. Definitely not up to eating croutons with syrup.
