I had the Thai tea (recommended by the bobarista) and my bf had the cookies-and-cream milk tea. Both were rich, decadent, creamy, and sweet! The employees informed us in advance that the Thai tea takes 7 minutes, and it was worth the wait :) Even with the additional time, our order was ready relatively quickly. They also were so kind to wipe and clean the table for us, as the previous guests had left all their trash. There are a good amount of seats in front of the cafe, however, they fill up fast (and I can definitely see why- we came an hour out of the way to try Serenitea and were so happy with the experience!)

I was thirsty and my feet needed a rest; they had tables and chairs, I thought I'd stop and try them out. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, especially since it was my first time: she told me what was popular, and which combinations were recommended. With her help, I decided on a iced Green apple green tea (jasmine), moderate brew (you can choose the strength of your tea) at 50% sugar, with the complimentary nata (you can also choose tapioca pearls). This was a refreshingly delicious drink! Brewing their tea makes a big difference in taste; no powdered instant stuff for me, thanks. I'm excited to come back to try their Burmese milk tea, Aloha series with fresh fruit, cookie brûlée drinks, brown sugar taho, and a drink to add panda cotta to.

Interesting thing is that they have an ukay ukay section with clothes and "designer" bags, which the staff say are "gently loved". I ordered their Okinawa Milk Tea which was decent with soft boba that still had a chew to them: just the way I like them. I also ordered French fries to be cooked crispy YUMMY! Staff was friendly and helpful; she helped me set up a small table next to the comfy couch so that I could enjoy my food and be near a wall socket to charge my phone. I enjoyed my food while listening to the music of the Back Street Boys playing in the background. When I'm at this end of Korea Town, I do plan on stopping by again. She was able to tell me what the best sellers were, so I chose the Okinawa bubble tea which came with complimentary coffee jelly. They brew their tea fresh, so there's a short wait; but I don't mind because it makes a big difference in taste. I enjoyed my drink: it had a strong tea taste with just the right amount of sweetness. They have a couple of tables and chairs inside where you can rest and enjoy your drink. I definitely will be back to try other flavors.

Do yourself a big favor, cross the street to AffiniTea and grab yourself a refreshing bubble tea. I was waiting for someone and they were running late: so Filipino! I was delighted that this bubble tea place was nearby. It's a bright clean place with a nice patio and friendly staff. There's a strong aircon, WiFi and a bathroom. I ordered the Empress (roasted) Milk Tea. Oh my, what a lovely tea! The roasting really brings out the rich and earthy flavors YUMMY! My drink automatically came with coffee jelly and tapioca pearls which added interesting texture to the drink. Surprisingly not overly sweet; but there is an option to adjust the level of sweetness. Conveniently located across the Bayanihan Main Gate Terminal in the building next to Jollibee. Lots of interesting choices that range from herbal to floral and to fruity. It was early morning when I strolled through Korea Town. I've passed Shopwise Express many times…read morethinking it was a convenience store. My eye caught sight of a sale going on, so I thought I'd finally go in. Arnold the manager is amazing and runs a tight ship. If you have any issues, he'll make things right. Staff come in an hour before opening to clean and organize the store BEFORE they open! Everyone is professional, hard working and helpful. The guard greets you as you come in and gets you a cart. Store is clean, bright, organized and well stocked. Lots of bargains scattered throughout so keep your eyes open. I appreciate that the meats are covered with plastic wrap to protect them from any flies (didn't see any in the store); no funky smells here, a BIG plus. Clearance items are out in the front and along the aisles on the left side of the store. They sell bulk items like dried fruit and rice. I am pleased that small size packages are available (I'm only cooking for two), besides big bulk packages, which are a cost saver for me. They have a nice assortment of wrapping paper and gift bags. You can also find a small makeup section and an office/school supplies section. I find many of the brands that I use are available here at reasonable prices. BIG props for having a bubble tea place inside. They have tables where I can rest and enjoy a drink, before lugging my groceries home. Their parking lot is comparatively big if you look at other lots in Korea Town. You can easily turn a SUV around before leaving the parking lot. This saves you from having to back out into traffic, so much safer in this area. This is now my favorite non-Korean grocery store here in Korea Town.
