New owners cleaned up the course and added classes for kids. I miss the alligator in the pond from the old course and the original owner was a character. I also miss the $8 fee. It's now $19. So far everyone I met there is friendly. If you are just learning how to play golf this is a great place to practice. Most of the players are beginners, they won't judge you. They also have a simulated course indoors but I haven't tried that out, maybe on a rainy day. On a Monday we were able to walk right on but they did have kids classes on the 8th and 9th hole so we couldn't play those holes but were allowed to repeat 1 and 2 if we wanted. They do recommend calling in advance for reservations and the kids classes end at noon.

Holes feel a club or two shorter than the yardage indicated. Only the long 175 yd #6 hole seems to be true from the back of the tee box. Course can get a little soggy in the spring. Greens are usually in good condition. Tee boxes are usually beaten up, but they do have mats to hit off on some of the holes.
