Do not use this landscaper. It's terrible. There are many reasons. 1. They put sod down without trimming the tree in front first. I had to call them 2 times and email and then they showed up. never got a hold of anyone but the answering services. 2. Bad communication, they don't reply to emails and only reply to calls if you are lucky, they do not give you updates while on site unless you initiate it. 3. Did bad job trimming limbs off tree. 4. sod has gaps in it and seems more cut up than it should be. parts of it where brown when put down and have gotten worse even with water and sun. 5. dumped excess mulch and the tree branches in the hill of my neighbors backyard, probably thought it's mine but it's not and i don't want it either 6. I ordered 2 pallets of sod but I suspect I'm missing around 150 sq ft. and there was area to put it. 7. they were supposed to try to go around the healthy grass so that the sod could go further. I can't hold it against them cause the key word was try but when I went out the morning they did it they started there with the machine. not in the bad areas on the side of lawn by driveway. They drove the machine across to the healthy patch on the other side of yard and started there. Even after talking to the supervisor a couple days before. 8. There were several wires found cut. laying with the trash they were taking away. I suspect they cut the cable line which I don't use and a grounding wire. It wouldn't have been so bad if they just told me about it instead of me walking around after the left and finding stuff. 9. I got the bill today but there was no discussion of doing a walk through of their work. 10. they left site like it was done on 5/30 friday. Didn't show up on Monday so I called cause they still hadn't trimmed tree and didn't put sod where they took out the bush by the garage. They came back once to do tree last week but didn't finish. came again yesterday 6/10 and finished tree, suck job of course, dumped tree limbs in backyard and put the sod where bush was removed but they were supposed to also take it slightly in front of it. i had talked to both the guy that did the quote and the onsite supervisor about it and still missed it. Only time will tell if the drain works. Let's pray. I'll put pics if this lets me. read more

From design to completion, we are exceptionally pleased with our backyard transformation. This was a complex project that included tree removal, grading, pool, pavilion with kitchen and fireplace, landscape, etc., and the Miller Landscape team (Bruce, John, Roberto and others) were all attentive, extremely professional and knowledgeable on all aspects of the project. Did we run into issues with weather, timing, etc? Absolutely, however the team went out of their way to provide suggestions and recommendations along with working 7 days a week from sun up to sun down to keep as close to our project completion date as possible. Throughout the project, the team listened attentively to everything that we wanted and they answered all of our concerns and questions timely and to our satisfaction. The attention to detail, customer service, pride and craftsmanship deserves a 5 star rating. Our project was completed at the end of May and it has turned out to be just what our family needed. If your goal is mediocrity, Miller Landscape is for you. We hired Miller Landscape to create a patio space for our new home. They built our patio design with a total diameter of 3 feet less than our agreed upon layout. We reached out to let them know it was not satisfactory. Blake came out to our home and after looking over the work that was done, he appeared at our door and asked, "How is it? Is it going to work for you?" They did send the crew out to extend the patio to the design layout specificiations and once again, the patio was under specifications by 5 inches. Now, 5 inches isn't a huge loss but when the project had to be redone due to not meeting size expectations, we would have expected them to err on the side of building a bit larger verses shorting us once again. When Blake came out to inspect the 2nd time, we voiced our concern and his response was "well if it's good enough for you guys, that's what we want". When spending $15,000 on a project, our hope was to be wowed, not just 'good enough'. While the end result was okay, we feel we over paid for the finished product. I have never dealt with a company like this.I contacted them to provide me with a plan for a small backyard. It took them two months to even schedule a site visit, and when they finally got to the job they measured, but didn't listen to a thing I said about what I wanted for the job. Then they sent a completely unusable design. I then sent a not so nice email and they asked me to provide feedback on the original design. Again, they disregarded my thoughts and sent another standard looking plan. Evidently $300 isn't enough to warrant ANY attention, much less any follow through. Horrible company, if you ask me. Use at your own risk, you will probably be disappointed and you definitely won't get your money's worth. read more

They sent someone out on 3/30 to look at our flower beds as we are wanting to have them redeveloped. The salesman came out on time looked around and talked about a few suggestions but told us he would put together a proposal based on what was discussed and have it to us by no later than Friday. That was on Tuesday. It's 4/16 and we have yet to receive that email or any other communication for that matter. I guess they didn't want the business. We will look elsewhere. read more

If I could give this company more stars, I would! I called several landscape companies. I wanted two natural Boulder stone step units installed up a slope in my backyard wooded area, landscaping around them, a drainage solution and irrigation. My job was either too small for some firms, wouldn't be scheduled until mid-2021 or I never got a call back. Miller Landscape not only called me back but appointments were made and kept on time, they listened to what I wanted, didn't oversell me and delivered on what they promised. James Lawson was my landscape architect. He was wonderful!! I had a plan and a quote within a week's time. I asked for a few tweaks and he made those without question. Sean Heater was my project manager. He and his team worked absolute magic on my property. And not only that, but, to my amazement, they also pressure washed my stone patio and driveway while cleaning up! With all the trenches that were dug for the drainage and irrigation, I expected that the property might look a little rough until grass grew over them. When they finished the job, I couldn't tell anything had been disturbed. I plan on doing more things in the yard over time and I plan on calling Miller Landscape to do them. Was recommended to Miller for an estimate to fix some drainage issues in my yard. The salesman arrived on time (a plus since I took time away from work to meet with him ) and listened carefully to my description of the issues. He then told me there would be a charge of (I believe) $199 hr @4 hours to develop a plan and provide an estimate. I informed him the other drainage specialists were providing FREE detailed estimates and that I would have never booked the appointment knowing they would be asking for a significant amount of money up front . Why was I not informed of the up front charges when I booked the appointment? I called the office to ask and was not provided any reasonable answer. So my question is, who compensates me for my lost time at work? Miller? Miller? All I can hear are crickets . . . read more

We hired Miller Landscape for our pool installation and complete back yard design. This was a major overhaul, as we were redesigning our deck, adding a swimming pool, and a grill area. With this project, it included a two story fireplace, under decking (dry below), re-decking the top deck, and many other features. Along with installing a new swimming pool, they also added new landscaping. Originally, we bid this project out, and frankly we couldn't get anyone to take the project "turnkey"(meaning handle permitting and every aspect) Most contractors wanted us to be the general contractor, and find different companies to do the wood work, or grill, or landscaping, or under decking, etc. We wanted to only deal with one person, and have one person handle everything... Miller did just that! From day one they were up front and honest with times, needs, choices, etc. In fact, we continued the project to re-landscape the front of our house. We have been so pleased with their work. I happily recommend them to anyone looking to improve their home. I find them to be family oriented, honest, and kind. I haven't used this service but because I live and travel down Barnes Road every day and see their trucks pulling out of the business in front of cars without looking EVERY day!!!! One pulled out in front of me today and I almost hit him. Then at the light he was flipping me off!! My husband asked if I tried to talk to the company. I told him I thought about it, but if these are the types of people they hire, they obviously don't care what caliber of people they hire. We had multiple estimates on the project but the team at Miller just stood out far and above. Bruce Miller is one of the most honest and enjoyable people to work with - he was always quick to respond, very pleasant, had great ideas and was just always willing to go the extra mile - I cannot say enough about the type of person he is and the way he handles himself. We hired Miller Landscape to level our backyard and install new sod which turned out to be a $10,000 project gone wrong. The fill dirt was not properly installed before the sod was put in place and resulted in settling. We had 3 other landscape companies come to review the work that was performed and every single one of them stated that Miller Landscape did not properly install the fill dirt before laying the sod. After numerous attempts to have the owner Bruce Miller come and inspect the project he elected to send another employee since his schedule was too busy. Miller added sand to the yard to level the spots which has now resulted in dead grass spots all over the yard. This was a simple project that was not executed correctly. Resolving the issues has become such a frustration that we wanted to share the feedback in hopes others will learn from our experience and consider other landscape companies in the market. It is very disappointing to spend such a significant sum of money and the owner could not take the time to return a phone call or come to the job site to address the issues. Use this company at your own risk. We hired them for a large pool refreshment project including finding and fixing leak. The process has been a joke. The salesperson was quick to answer questions until the project started. We never heard from him again. The owner came out initially but was never on the jobd while work was being done. I'm pretty certain he just hires other subs and leaves it up to them. One kept asking me for a check even after they decided to use squared off caps as opposed to rounded off caps like what was ordered and installed around most of the pool. The skimmers are not flush as they were prior to the start of the project. The pool finish looks like they missed places. One of the lights is not screwed in completely. One skimmer was left with jagged edges... Not like this prior to start of project. I can go on but I think you get the idea. I don't typically write reviews especially negative ones but this company and owner has given me heartburn since this project started and after it's so-called completion. I appreciate your response. This is what Miller should have done: - Inform us BEFORE installation that our home was not in the maintenance service area. As you installed at our home with absolutely no mention that the distance was a problem, we had no reason to believe maintenance would not be available. In fact, we told you at the time of installation that we would be contacting you about maintenance. No one said it would be a problem. - Return our phone calls when we did attempt to contact Miller during the 90 day period to set up maintenance. No warranty claim was filed within 90 days because the plants did not die until later in the summer/fall; some the following spring. However, I don't know how we could have filed a claim even if one was warranted because Miller never called us back. We were told each time our messages would be given to the techs, but no one contacted us. Our plants were installed on a steep hill, mostly in full sun. They are likely completely appropriate for the area in general, but not our specific situation. We wanted to use Miller for maintenance because this was a difficult area to care for. Miller's refusal to tell us until a YEAR later that this was not possible both prevented us from choosing a company to do the installation that would also provide maintenance, and from hiring another company to do the maintenance while the plants were still alive. Don't get me wrong - the installation looked lovely. However, Miller's refusal to follow up gives the impression that your only concern was getting a fee. I stand behind my review. read more

I hired Miller Landscape to replace the wall and fix the issues. They completed the job quickly, professionally and resolved the issues that had been created by the other business.
