I decided to give MMC a try after reading some great reviews. I had a great experience with both a mani/pedi and a one hour massage. Devon did my nails and he was great - wonderful conversationalist, great calf massage. He was nervous about painting my nails, but did a great job. A few things to note, their nail colors were very limited, thankfully I'm not picky so it wasn't a big deal. I also had an appointment and had to wait almost 30 minutes anyway. Again - not really a big deal, I had the day off - but it also took about 2 and a half hours to do both (they are students after all!), so make sure to plan for plenty of time. Daniel did my massage and it was great. He was a licensed therapist who was skilled and gave a wonderful massage. The building is old, but is no indication of the services provided. My one major complaint is that online it says that students are not allowed to accept tips, but this is not the case at all. Tips are accepted and expect tips. Which I have no problem with!! But I had no cash and couldn't add it to my credit card, making a very awkward goodbye from both of my treatments. I felt bad, but had checked their policies and was not prepared. Would give no stars if possible... Worst employees/staff. Incompetent and unknowledgeable about rules and policy's pertaining to their job and students. Will give false information and false promises and basically tell you to get bent. They have no sense of urgency during time sensitive situations and do not care of their employees give out false information and they will do nothing about to fix the cause... Horrible staff horrible structure system, literally just a waist of my time and has done nothing but forced complications in my life.. If you're thinking about attending Miller-Motte College... don't. Save yourself. I finished my entire program, and to this day I still don't know my "graduation date" when I was supposed to graduate a year ago and I still haven't heard anything back from them because apparently they didn't feel the need to give me one. They also never set up my internship - the same internship they repeatedly brag about during enrollment. Job assistance? Also missing. It's like everything they promised magically disappeared the moment they got my financial aid. The instructors? Let's just say some of them seemed like they Googled the material right before class. I'm all for self-learning, but if I wanted to teach myself, I could've stayed home and kept my money. Everything here feels unorganized, unprofessional, and honestly a little chaotic - like a school pretending to be a school. The support stops the moment you sign your name. I'm writing this so someone else doesn't fall for the same sales pitch. Miller-Motte looks good on paper, but in real life? It's giving "figure it out yourself." read more

I see alot of people who probably don't finish school & use an excuse it's because of the school.. I DID GREAT everyone has been super helpful. They offer tutoring if needed and my counselor is amazing!! I'm gonna keep going and transfer my credits for a higher degree with them. I booked a one-hour massage with a licensed massage therapist rather than a student. The massage was less than mediocre and had no therapeutic benefit. The masseuse had just graduated a few months before. I asked for a firm massage and got a Swedish! Even though I asked him to go deeper, he didn't. But that wasn't the worst of it. The facility is filthy. It reminds me of a 1970s sanitorium. The hallways are narrow and lit with fluorescent lighting, with yellowing walls. The 1960s tile flooring was weather beaten. The fake plastic plants and flowers were extremely unsightly. The ladies restroom was in need of a good remodel. But that's not the worst of it. I have never had a massage on dark brown linens. All of the Linens, including the table cover, the face plate cover and the blanket, were dark brown. The blanket cover was a satin. Obviously, those cannot be bleached and sanitized. Gross. And the massage room flooring was the same as in the hallway, the 1960s filthy tile. I didn't even want to put my bare feet on it. While in the waiting room area before the massage, a woman was on her cell phone speaking extremely loudly and obnoxiously, and staff did nothing about it. I would definitely not recommend this place for school or to get a massage or any cosmetology services. It's disgusting. They should tear the whole place down and rebuild it. If you want a nice facility that offers both student massages and licensed therapist massages at a reduced rate, try the College of Wilmington in the Independence Mall. It is much more upscale. I attended Miller-motte for the massage therapy program. I had nothing but a superb experience from the financial aspect to the actual education. When applying, my representative made the loan application as easy as possible. I never had any trouble with the financial aspect. I chose Miller-Motte College over the other colleges in the area. Mostly because of the education hours. Miller-Motte's program is 900 hours while the competitors is 500. I wanted to make sure I got the best education, and at the end of the day I wanted to make sure I knew my stuff. My instructors were absolutely amazing. They made sure each and every student was able to understand the material. I was so well rounded in my new field that immediately after receiving my license I was hired to work in a doctor's office. Miller-motte made sure I had the knowledge to succeed in my new career as a Massage Therapist. read more

The entire building feels like an oven. It's 83 in my classroom right now and climbing! This is absolutely ridiculous. I know this school makes MORE than enough money off of their students so this is just unacceptable. I pay TOO much money to be SWEATING and oh, THERES BLACK MOLD IN THE CEILING! read more

BAD BAD their financial is bad charging me for room and board 10,850 I did online saying I owe them a balance of 2,251,00 holding my degree i am disabled where am i to get that type of money never talked to Kamisha Allen my financial aid officer she never handled my case no contact its a rip off. read more

I attended Miller-Motte's MSCE program in 2004. Ashley Wallace was an amazing instructor, and my classmates made the long nights bearable. It was a great program for me, since I was also working full time. The location and ease of access made it worth my time and money. read more

The certificates and licenses are worth it and legit. The teachers and instructors and great But the enrollment process is a nightmare. They schedule you for appointment and there's nobody even there to meet with you. then you get in there and what they promised you isn't even available. be careful with their enrollment people they tell you whatever you want to hear.. read more

I agree with RJ's comment in the 'not recommended' comments section. I'll keep it short. I currently attend miller motte Wilmington. It's a joke in every aspect. I HIGHLY RECCOMENED NOT ATTENDING THIS SO CALLED COLLEGE FOR ANY REASON. there is a reason why this schools so called credits are not transferable to any education institution. the education is questionable at the very least and tuition costs DO NOT include required materials as they state they do. I unfortunately had to transfer to this school and highly recommend miller-motte start getting on track. If your going to the school for services make sure they have the products to perform them first... Or you may be getting a service with mislabeled products.... read more

My current students -all dental- have been awesome! They are very serious about their classes and work but seem to always be open to new ideas and open to my silly ideas about how to have fun and still be learning! I don't recommend this school to anyone. I graduated with honors and I did my best as a student (massage therapy) I can't talk bad about teachers because they were great! Dealing with the financial department was a headache! They have no idea what they are doing, they have all my loans mixed up and I can't get a hold from them, not even to pay my bills. I was one month late on my payment (because btw they never mail my statement) and now they have sent my account to a debt collector! Nice job Miller Motte!
