The unprofessionalism demonstrated by General Manager was astounding. Phone calls going unanswered, appointments not kept, paperwork not submitted, and inaccuracies in what was presented. The General Manager finally kept an appointment to measure the space I needed flooring for, only to be unable or unwilling to actually submit a proposal for the work. I followed up three times to request the subsequent proposal and was told on one occasion, when I stopped by the store, to expect a call from the General Manager within the next 30 minutes. I was told this by his coworker who called him in my presence to find out why I never received the proposal. Needless to say, that call from the General Manager was never received. Fortunately, the Bluffton and Hilton Head areas have many options for their flooring needs, and I for one strongly recommend choosing one other than Builtmart, LLC. I arrived at the realization that if Builtmart, LLC was as underwhelming, unreliable, and unprofessional BEFORE getting the sale, then the likelihood is that the quality of the work after securing the contract would probably leave a lot to be desired. My recommendation is to choose your flooring company wisely and choose anyone in Bluffton other than Builtmart.

Turns out the company is not licensed to do plumbing or electric, so he pulled a permit under the name of Hackett Construction that we never met and did none of the work. Things just got worse from there. Paul does not monitor or take responsibility for the quality of his subcontractor's work. We had to point out many issues, including the shower valve and ventilation fans that were installed incorrectly. The quality of the work, particularly the painting, is poor. And he will try to charge you for his mistakes.

We actually stumbled on them headed into Savannah one day and decided to stop in without an appointment. We couldn't have been more surprised. They have everything from pavers for our driveway, coral stone for our pool deck and patio, hardwood flooring, gorgeous stone mantels and an absolutely fantastic tile showroom. Pretty much knocked off 4-5 stops with one visit. The staff was extremely welcoming and professional, from the receptionist (Deborah) to the stone salesperson (Lisa), hardwood flooring/mantels (Mike) and Erin in the tile showroom. We were offered bottled water and spent probably 30-45 minutes with each salesperson - all without an appointment! They did encourage us to call ahead for our second visit, since many times they are out of the office on sales calls. We just got lucky and stopped on a day wen they were all on-site. At one point, the Owner (John?) took a moment to say hello. This must be what people are talking about when they talk about Southern Hospitality! We are in the selections stage of building our home. We have since talked with several of our new neighbors and not a single person has had anything but the best to say about Savannah Hardscapes. We are very much looking forward to working with them.
