Evidently, they broke off from another church due to the adultery of the old pastor. Props to them for breaking away and starting new with a new pastor in a spirit of holiness. Have heard a lot of good sermons. At the same time, I am concerned about several things. Jesus Himself said that the church is full of true born again believers who are walking as Christ directs (the sheep) and make believers (the goats) who attend church but are not in Christ (carnal). One day, the truth will be exposed as to who is in which category. What is going on with the some prayer team leaders and the small group ministry at Foundations? They let a gal who was booted off of the prayer team in her old church in Berthoud lead the Wednesday prayer group and is quite controlling. People go to her group and often never return. I heard through the grapevine that the guy who started the prayer team says she has a demon. He is prone to saying people he doesn't like have a demon (a Jezebel spirit, a Leviathon spirit). Is this spiritual abuse? Competition, lust for power and slander prevails while Jesus weeps. Then there is M, an elderly lady on the prayer team who criticizes the pastor and the church in the way they do things. Why is she allowed on the prayer team. Small Group Leadership: I listened to the guy who coaches people who want to lead a small group. The impression several of us get is that if you want to lead a group, you cannot be too honest about what the Bible says if someone asks a question. We love everyone here, including gays and trans. A gay married couple wanted to be in a leadership position and were disappointed when told no. Pastor speaks plainly about homosexuality being a sin, but did anyone feel okay with telling them in love and gentleness in the small group? Did they try to help them out of this sinful lifestyle? I call this "Christianity Light" where no one can be too honest in the group about the Word because someone might be offended. Is Jesus weeping? Is He a fan of all of this?

You will find they have a ministry that doesn't pull punches and tells the truth about sexual bondage, internet pornography, marital struggles, addiction, financial health, sharing the good news with your neighbors, and so much more. In today's cultural climate it is very encouraging to get reinforced here. My kids are grown, but I can tell they have a pretty amazing children's ministry. The worship band frequently drives me to tears. There are lots of special events and opportunities to get involved and connected in small groups.

Pastor Wilson has a clear vision for Greeley Wesleyan and conducts himself professionally in overseeing various aspects of church governance and church programs, and most noticeably in the messages he delivers each Sunday. Greeley Wesleyan is a candidate for becoming a mega-church. There are a large number of "small groups", a contemporary phenomenon in many Christian churches. The songs and music are contemporary Christian, with a rare old time gospel tune thrown in every few months or less. Pastor Wilson's sermons, unlike too many modernistic warm-and-fuzzy sermons, relates directly to a set of Bible passages, carefully chosen and elaborated, and related to his listeners' daily lives, or specific, immediate issues in their lives. Donuts and coffee are fine. No need to go to the Dark Side. The Light Side has them, too, and at less cost to your eternal salvation. :D. 10/18/2013 - Greeley Wesleyan produces the "Hour of Hope" television program broadcast Sunday mornings. They are still picking a new pastor mid-February 2026, while numerous people involved in scandal have made quiet exits with no rebuke. There have been no apologies, or restitutions made, for years of public smears (official church videos that went out about us as liars)(guest speakers that have disparaged our character)(nothing said of their financial and mental damage), that have brought ruin to many lives. My own sister could benefit from monies returned for health complications not covered by insurance, that that church took through an evil lawsuit while supporting a deviant. I have been very scared to say anything about this church for a while because my experience was…read moreheart-breaking and the members there label whistle blowers as slanderers. But after resting in the gospel and soaking in the truth of scripture and Jesus's love and grace for an awful long time--I figured why not? Maybe it will help someone. From my personal experience, they do not have a good law and gospel distinction. Obedience is heavily pushed on the believer, making the gospel burdensome and not restful. It felt like they didn't believe in the power of the gospel. They set rules where scripture had none and they would point to your own obedience and submission for assurance of salvation. It is difficult to find rest and joy in Jesus when everyone is always trying to make sure that you better yourself and please God with your works. Because if you still struggled with a major sin they question your salvation instead of pointing to Jesus. It was always very introspective. And the goal of the Christian life was to "not sin." I once talked their talk and walked their walk, but in hindsight I can see how much damage I have done to other believers faith and how much damage it had on my own. I followed a pietism gospel. They taught that if you love someone you will confront them. But now I see that if you love someone you will extend grace and forgiveness. The Holy Spirit convicts men of sin--not me. It is my job to love and show grace upon grace--not to condemn and criticize and make sure everyone is keeping with their disciplines. There are deep secrets here. So be very cautious. This church deeply hurt me and my family and distorted the gospel. There are many people I still love that are members, but I would not recommend you attend. If you do, be very discerning with law and gospel distinctions. Jesus Christ is the head of the church and in Him alone is there forgiveness of sins for all who call on His name. Soli Deo Gloria
