No one wants to visit the dentist. When Dr. Patel is looking after me I feel completely comfortable. I literally feel nothing when she uses the needle to freeze my mouth. During the entire time my comfort is what's most important. "You're going to feel a pinch." "You're going to feel vibration." "Are you doing OK? Just raise your hand if you want me to stop." "Now I'm going to do this." And so on. With past dentists I would have a sore jaw and gums for days after. Not with Dr. Patel! I no longer cringe at the thought of visiting the dentist! The dental hygienists and front desk staff are just the icing on the cake. Fun folks but still very professional!

Ex: Root Canal, (3 roots/filling) Art gets $1148 for everyone sold and the dentist gets % of what's left over. They charge $1500 PLUS $300 for the filling. Each "dentist" is billed out at full rate, No matter the what country or year graduated. Your Dentist will try to max your Insurance --------------------------------------------------------- Look for a dentist with reasonable rate. The other hygienist wasn't as good and I was not happy with the treatment. I contacted Corinna and she said she was let go 2 weeks prior with no explanation. They just told her they weren't renewing her contract. I asked if Dr Orth was still there and she advised he was gone as well. I was shocked that the office is not informing their clients that both their dentist and hygienist are no longer in that office. I won't be going back.

I have had many treatments while I've been going, mostly dental checkups and fillings. I had to get a single dental implant put in, and it was a long process (which is normal), but I'm really satisfied with the end result, and the care I received. The problem that I had with this office was on the management side of things; so much so, that I elected to lodge my concerns with the Alberta Dental Association. I informed the staff at 360 that I don't do business that way and moved on and in doing so, discovered a great office! I would suggest to any new patient going to any office, to ensure that you get a suggest that you get a treatment plan in writing prior to undergoing any treatment. That way, everyone is on the same page with less room for misunderstanding.

No one likes going to the dentist, especially me. My Dad used to pull my teeth out with needle-nosed pliers when I was little. Incidentally, these same pliers also spent time working on the car and other odd jobs...don't worry though, he wiped them off on a rag before they went in my mouth. Oh yeah, I also have parts of my two front teeth that are fake (don't worry, his home dentistry biz couldn't handle that one). I have such a "not small" fear of the dentist that I didn't go for like 6 years. One day I realized that my fear of being 30 and having dentures is greater than my fear of the dentist so I started looking for a dentist that would be really nice to me. A co-worker recommended Downtown Dental and I phoned and told them my scary dental story and asked them if they could be extra nice to me. That was three years ago and now I go every six months. I don't like many of the dental sounds (scraping, drilling etc.) even if they are from someone else's mouth so I they suggested I bring some music to listen to. However, on the day of my appointment I forgot my ipod at home. The receptionist insisted I listen to her ipod as she knew it would help. Love it. Going to the dentist is never fun, but these guys make it as easy as possible. They also send me a birthday card each year (and it's not to remind me to book an appointment, it's just to wish me a happy birthday) - I like it. Bonus! - they've also moved into PennWest Plaza, also the location of Rise Bakery, home of Crack Bun, so you can sink your clean teeth into a cinnamon-y delight right after your appointment. If Crack Bun is part of the process, I could be persuaded to go weekly....ok, maybe not.

The receptionist chose to ignore this during the entire conversation. At the end of the conversation I asked her to make a note that my child's pronouns are they/them. She literally laughed at my request. Such disrespect is not acceptable. I let them know my family will never return to their clinic. Already in the process of moving everything to another clinic.

But the worst part is that the person who did their cleaning was so rough on their gums by their wisdom teeth that they have been in pain for a few days now and it's affecting their life quite a bit. I was hoping it was just sensitivity from the cleaning but it just seems to be getting worse days later. They had no pain in that area prior to this visit. But now they have no more coverage because of the excessive charge on the visit that caused them the pain. So I'm not too sure what they are going to do and it's concerning. From the moment I walked in, the front desk team was super friendly and helpful. They made check-in easy and answered all my questions about scheduling and costs without any confusion. It's always nice to walk into a place where the staff actually seems to care. They even submitted my portion to the insurance so I didn't have to deal with it and only paid my portion which is super helpful financially. The dental assistants were great too and they were super professional and reassuring. I was very nervous to get a root canal but they made sure I was comfortable the whole time, explained what was happening, and checked in with me throughout the procedure. It made a big difference in keeping me relaxed. Dr. Singh was fantastic. He explained everything clearly, took his time, and made sure I wasn't feeling any pain. You can tell he really knows what he's doing, and I appreciated how calm and professional he was throughout the whole process. Overall, I had a great experience at Signal Hill Dental Centre.
