It tasted home made although I think theirs is better than I could have made myself. Their lamb pasties are also delicious, as are their pork pies. In normal times, I love their hot pork sandwiches but I think these are currently suspended due to the covid outbreak. They also sell a nice fruit pie, and a range of interesting cheeses.

All meats are cut there in front of you whilst you wait fresh, there is no "Vac-Pack" in this shop which I truly like and I quite often take pleasure in filling my freezer from here. The owner Paul and his Wife Jan always make you feel welcome, which I feel is also a nice touch to and it is a pleasure to see them both. All meats are of good quality, fresh and reasonably priced.

I'd forgotten what a real butcher's was like until I discovered Coates' and now wonder why I have put up with supermarket meat for so long.
