Chances are if it's not in this shop then the paper/magazine you're after isn't going to be in Seaton Delaval. Being so close to the school, it gets bombarded with kids stocking up on sweets. The card selection is limited and you won't find bargains but it's handy to have at your door step none the less. Friendly enough staff who sell the odd winning scratch card.

The store sells newspapers and magazines as well as sweets, snacks, drinks and many other items commonly associated with newsagents. The store is small with a dark facade. The front is organised, clean and neat but quite busy with displays and stock. Inside the displays are clean and neat and are always well stocked. It is easy to get to anything you need and there is always a staff member within reach. The displays are organised in a logical fashion with everything visible and in order. Price-wise it matches and does not exceed other similar businesses in the area. I find the staff helpful and chatty and they always hover around should you need any assistance!

The staff are friendly and enjoy a chat with you even if you just pop in for a packet of sweets or a paper. They are open from early morning until late evening so you can always depend on them in case you forget the evening paper or your lottery ticket! Like most WHSmith stores following the same refurbishment, it now looks brighter as well as more modern and welcoming compared to something out of the 1970s. Prices are a little high but the product range certainly isn't too bad, with a selection of greetings cards, stationery, drinks and books, generally there are better stores within Metrocentre for pretty much everything this place sells, but it acts as a one-stop shop in a useful location. The staff seem friendly enough. 3* - This store is fine but is pretty much the token WHSmith you see in every town and every shopping centre and doesn't go much beyond that.

They also have a photocopy machine which is very useful as you can get copies in a minute. The staff are really nice in here and always up for a chat.

The Works Factory Outlet is located in The Royal Quays Retail Outlet centre in the newly developed…read morequayside area in North Shields. I love this shop! On the whole it is a bookshop but it also sells a range or Stationery, cd's/dvd's (not recent chart ones though) gifts, cards etc at very affordable prices. I've picked up loads bargains here in the past! Everything is discounted so is always cheaper than the usual RRP. I've always found the staff there to be very pleasant and helpful. I never go to the Royal Quays without going in this shop because the stock is updated rregularly so you never know what bargains you might find! Because it is situated in a retail outlet centre it is in amongst a range of shops and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. There are hundreds of free parking spaces and it is quite easy to get to by bus or by metro (Royal Quays is about a 10min walk from Percy Main Metro Station).
