Im a disabled Iraq veteran on a fixed income & I had some bad luck fall upon me & I was made to feel like I was going to bankrupt the business but fortunately the owners wife intervened & allowed my return. I cane back the next month & I bought a bass off of them, which cost 4x as much as the item I returned, & I did it as a thanks for helping me the prior month but instead of thank you, i got a sarcastic comment from the owner about if I was going to return the guitar too! I already paid for the bass otherwise I was ready to give it right back but I just kept my mouth shut despite being highly insulted. That was the last time I set foot i.n Lincoln Music House I hope their business gets better because they turned me off after going there for over 35 years. It's a shame because with Uncle Bob's going out of business, there aren't a lot of mom & pop stores left but customer service is #1 in my book & they definitely drove me away with their poor attitudes & it's a shame. Still, if you need an affordable instrument or need some maintenance on one, they do offer quality in both. A few weeks later, one key started leaking. We then took it to the shop where I always take my own flute. They replaced 4 pads, straightened 3 keys and replaced the cork on several keys. After numerous phone calls, with a need to consult with the district supervisor, they said we waited too long and we didn't give them a chance to repair the defects the second time. Oh, and "we didn't scratch the lip plate". If they couldn't fix it right the first time, how on earth would they be able to fix it the second time. It was a sad day when Fred sold the company to corporate America. Take your instrument someplace else.

I missed the return policy so I was fine paying for whatever was wrong with it. I drove half an hour to this location to get it checked out, and the guy was super condescending to me the whole time. I'm a young guy, an intermediate player, and I don't know much about the technical side of guitars, but damn, was he really making me feel stupid. Dude was rolling his eyes at me every time I said I didn't know something. I bought a kapo and a guitar strap, and the guy checking me out was on the phone with someone else the whole time. If I'm going to buy a guitar I'd honestly rather drive twice the distance to the Chicago location. The guys over there are dope and ACTUALLY helpful. Anyways, support local businesses.

Ended up buying about 10 records and found some really amazing and a couple rare releases. They have tons of new sealed albums, somewhat limited on used, but the new stuff is great. I found an excellent selection of rock, blues, jazz, and country/folk. I'll definitely be going back again, there's plenty of stuff I had to leave behind because I was spending too much money. Hopefully some of it's there on my next trip. Store staff is knowledgeable and really friendly too. It's a mixed income neighborhood, and they're friendly, caring, and helpful to anyone who walks in for any reason. Plenty of street parking and a small lot in the back of the store. The store is clean, big, well sorted. Prices are pretty average, but there's some good deals as well on overstocks and ding/dents. They weren't gouging like some of the other stores in town. Definitely my favorite store I visited on this Milwaukee trip. Looks like they had a lot of stereo equipment, CDs, accessories and maybe movies? I reached my limit and made a hasty escape with only a couple bucks left in my wallet.
