Prior to high school, I was an MPS, and then a WAWM public school student. DSHA is such a positive world of difference compared to public schools. The teachers at DSHA truly care about the girls, ALL of the girls. They expect excellence because they know you are capable of excellence. They truly care, and want to see you do well. This is not just a "paycheck" for them. The academics are stellar with an abundance of AP courses offered. How many high schools can say not only did 100% of students graduate, but were ALSO accepted into 4-year universities? Very few. DSHA has a fantastic athletic program as well with quite a few championships. Many athletes are student scholars. Lastly, DSHA is a school centered around the Catholic faith with theology classes, retreats, and service opportunities. A student does not have to be Catholic though to attend as there are students of Jewish, Muslim, and Protestant faiths. This was the first day care we enrolled our son in, it was a great choice! He was just under 1 when…read morewe enrolled him and I was so nervous at first. I quickly changed my attitude with the help of their wonderful staff. The teachers here truly care about your child and provide a fun and nurturing environment. My son made pals with his class mates. It was wonderful to hear little stories from his day when I'd pick him up from his teachers. Little Angels offers may perks that as a parent I really liked, I'll list a few of them. They also set up a private Facebook for parents only, they will share pictures from their day. It gives you a feeling of connection to your little one when you can't be with them. They also bring photographers in to take school pictures and you can purchase picture packets. Monthly lunch schedules are given out so you can note certain days you may want to send lunch if you have a picky eater. Teachers are always sending home projects your little one created. They celebrate teachers week where there are daily themes and activities to celebrate the great work their wonderful staff does daily. There is also a parents week with activities and after hour events for parents and family members to attend with their kiddos. I LOVED this it offered a view into my sons daily activities in the center. I really miss this day care and wish my son could still attend but we have since moved. :( the teachers genuinely seemed sad to see my son leave. They offer a family like atmosphere and I highly suggest this day care to other parents in ET!
