Heather was amazing!! Me and my boyfriend came here on a Tuesday morning and we had a wonderful breakfast experience. Oh my goodness the cinnamon roll french toast was to die for! I was worried it would be too heavy like most Cinnabons are.... But it was perfect. I got the grand breakfast. I got mine with egg whites, crispy bacon, and obviously the cinnamon roll french toast. They were two petite sized rolls and they didn't have any frosting, but that's what made them so perfect and not heavy. Heather advised us that these were special homemade ones and a must-try. Sooooo good and happy. My boyfriend got the 2 egg platter with hash brown, and of course the highly recommended pumpkin muffin. Another winner! Heather was very attentive, kind, help, patient... all the things that add to a wonderful guest experience. I was indecisive at first, and she was quick to offer her advice of the best flavors... and she was right! She was quick the refill our coffees, we didn't have to ask for anything, because she offered everything that we needed without having to wait or ask. We were greeted with no wait ! Our server tended to us quickly and very politely . The food came out quickly and it was a decent portion (20 for the eggs and hash plate ). The food itself I did not love at all , it was pretty bland . The hash was a little over cooked so it was super rough almost like a beef jerky . The potato's were extremely bland as well . read more

I decided to go to Mimi's for old time's sake. It's been a while since the last time I set foot in one. We were the first ones there on a Tuesday morning. The booth we were given seemed a little old and the seat was lumpy. Our server was friendly and helpful. I ordered the brie mushroom and bacon omelet. Presentation was aesthetically pleasing. My favorite part was the slabs of melted brie cheese on top! That was divine. I would order that again. For an old diner like this, the service does make a huge difference. It started with a mother's day reservation done more than a while ahead of time, we had reserved for a party of 5 knowing it may be busy. Once we got to the location and checked in we were placed on a separate list where we had to wait at least 30 minutes after our reserved time to be seated. If they cannot fulfill reservations, why do they offer them? Very useless waste of time. We were given a booth with a chair. The chair was in the middle of an accessible aisle. Pretty unsafe, either way, mother's day we tried to be on our best behavior. The waitress came out about 5 minutes and asked us for drinks. 3 coffees, one soda and an endless mimosa, along with waters for the table. She came back a few minutes later with everything except the mimosa for my mother and proceeded to ask us if we were ready to order. We placed our order and she left. No one checked in on us, no one asked if we needed anything, 45 minutes pass and eventually someone comes and asks if we need coffee refills. We remind her of the mimosa to which she says oh and leaves to bring us a glass of OJ and a opened bottle of champagne with no sparkling left. It was a lousy pour for a mimosa. Eventually 10 minutes later we finally receive our food. Unfortunately, they forget about my plate. I ask my family to eat without me and I see a look of weirdness on their face. 7 minutes later they bring my plate and we dig in. The food to me was OK, but my group all received cold food, being mother's day they didnt want to make a scene but defintely came to the conclusion that this place is not the best when it comes to a holiday. They really need to limit the amount of people if they cant handle it. I will not be returning as I am very disappointed with the service and the food. Do better. read more

We were looking for a good hearty breakfast, the few places we chose were already packed with a line. We hadn't been to Mimi's in years, thought to give it another try. We were seated right away which was nice but never greeted by a waitress until 10 minutes later at least we were ready to order. Coffee was average, warm not hot, served with half and half. Our meals didn't take long to come out. He had eggs and ham, good smoke flavor. I ordered quiche Lorraine, once again warm not hot. A good sized portion with home potatoes, onions and tiny peppers. It was tasty, not over salted which I appreciate. Coffee was never refilled nor were we offered condiments. In a pinch we will return. Glad it was clean and busy. read more

The ingredients, textures, and flavors were all paired very nicely in each dish we tried. The presentation of every dish we had was immaculate and really elevated the experience (see pics/videos). LONG VERSION: We started with a few slices of French bread that came out fresh from the oven - it had an amazing crust on the outside and was unbelievably melty warm and soft on the inside. I kept asking for more pieces and wish I could have just ordered an entire loaf of it if I'm honest! The presentation of the Hamachi crudo salad was like a piece of art - the dish matched the presentation and the yuzu flavor was unique and refreshing. The shrimp macaron starter was very tasty and the green sauce to dip in had a great spicy kick to it. The Spanish garlic shrimp appetizer was a good size portion that we shared. It came out hot and sizzling on the plate - the shrimp was succulent and the tomatoes and garlic pieces were terrific. For the main dish, we split the uni (sea urchin) pasta. The pasta was home made and delicious. I have never had uni before and it was cool to try a unique and novel flavor but this might not be for everyone (it had somewhat of a bitterness that reminded me of the acquired taste of an olive). The sauce was definitely butter heavy and it evened out the strong flavor of the uni - I found the dish was delicious overall but it is pricey so just make sure you're aware and open minded before you order this. For dessert, we split the chocolate cake/soufflé and this one literally took my breath away and had me rolling my eyes into the back of my head. It was made to order so we had to wait for it to bake, but when it came out, the warmth and quality of the melted chocolate inside was exquisite and the proportions of cake to chocolate to ice cream was absolutely perfect (see video). We don't go out to nice fancy/French restaurants very often, and I'm so glad we indulged with this - it ended the evening in a truly special way. Restaurant ambiance was casual but elegant. Our service was fantastic - we don't eat meat or alcohol and our server helped us navigate the menu to find some great options. Overall, we are grateful for a lovely meal and would recommend anyone else to give it a try if you're looking for a unique and flavorful dining experience.

The overly salted amuse.. overcooked quail on top of a chalky purple yam smear, a too rare filet with a thick grey band (requested medium but this was basically blue). The lobster glazed cod was fishy -poor quality fish it seems. ...Strong flavors that don't complement one another was the theme. Also sat there awkwardly while everyone else was eating desserts. I had to flag down a waitress and ask for my dessert -she replied that there was confusion and something about togo ? I eventually got my dessert -chocolate shell with basically heavy cream -not even ice cream/mousse inside. I was in disbelief the whole meal. Even the plates were hotter than the actual food it held. How is this restaurant considered upscale and classy. It's overly expensive for mediocrity. This is a pretty scathing review and this is unfortunately a second revision, a "nicer" draft...
