We had a great time at Mimmo! There's a cool lounge area downstairs for cocktails and a darker, intimate, more romantic area upstairs for dinner. We started with dinner upstairs and finished with some after dinner drinks downstairs, making for a great evening. This would be great for either a date or a girl's night out. The burrata starter was a very generous serving size - definitely recommend getting this to share. We also tried the marinated pumpkin which was light, interesting and great! And, because I am obsessed stracciatella, we also shared the with chicory hearts with stracciatella fresh cheese and anchovies fillets to start and for my main I had the homemade ravioli fresh pasta filled with stracciatella fresh cheese on cherries tomatoes and fresh basil sauce. Expectations are high when getting any sort of pasta dish in Italy, and my main did not disappoint. Definitely recommend! read more

Atmosphere is nice but feels incredibly overpriced for the quality and portion. A 15 EUR pasta consisted of 4 small bites that you can finish in less than a minute. Same for starters. On top of that there is a 5 EUR cover charge. I love Italian restaurants and I'm not shy about paying for quality, but I've never felt that ashamed about spending 50 EUR on a meal that would barely qualify as light apetizers in other restaurants. When I expressed my concerns the waiter just shrugged without any argument to provide. There are a lot of much nicer options in the area, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

Had a fantastic lunch here. We were here at the very beginning of August so the place was super quiet, but I am sure any other time it's very busy. It's a store and a restaurant and has a Restoration Hardware like vibe. The restaurant is upstairs and the food was wonderful. We shared two pastas: a pesto pasta and a zucchini pasta and they were both incredible and reminded us how lucky we were to be in Italy. They brought over yummy petit fours for dessert and huge candy jars that we got to choose gummy candies from. read more

We popped at their door Saturday evening around 22:30 without a booking and offered a table after about 15-20 min. A couple of Prosecco for the wait were 20€. One the good side - very nice shabby chic decor , lights, ambience . Really nice. The dessert ( banana foam filled cannolo with lime toffee and some other details I don't re) was exquisite. A little on the downside - impossible to sit at the table in the right close to the window ( the continuous flow of smokers going out in the balcony will make you freeze).have to add that the staff noticed it and did their best to shelter me from the freezing winds. We had pumpkin filled ravioli on fonduta and beef filet. Ravioli were common , tasty. The filet was a little of a disappointment - they didn't asked the cooking level so it would have supposed to be medium cooked- it was practically raw, and have to say the meat didn't impress us. Nice list of wines though. On the whole quite nice ambience, that leaves some to be desired from the culinary side. read more

The service is always excellent at Mimmo. The ambiance is one of the best in Milan but when combined with the staff, it's a special place. The food is a wonderful modern take on Italian. We had a light dinner with just pasta and a dessert. The pasta was great but our cheesecake was a tiny bit frozen, not as creamy as we normally like but nevertheless it was very good. For me the staff is really the best, they obviously are always working and have a spring in their step while never seeming to be running or stressed. They smile and are attentive and silently service the table, I never have to ask for anything. Anyone who knows Italy knows this is not easy to find. read more
