It's laid out much like a regular bookshop would be with sections for fiction, and different non-fiction types, the difference is that all the books sold here are second hand and have been donated by people to help raise money for willen hospice. I love this shop, I love reading and I much prefer to buy a book that someone else has already read and keep it from going into landfill than to buy a brand new book. I llike it even more here because I know my money is going to a really fantastic cause.

The 'Katherine House Hospice' in Banbury is a lovely little charity shop in heart of Banbury town…read morecentre. It has been in the spot for years. We are frequent visitors to the shop on every shopping to Banbury. The shop is full of interesting stuff, peoples bits and bobs, antiques and generously donated items. All are sold to fund the amazing work the hospice does located just outside Banbury. The shop is entirely run by vounteers, donating there spare time for a great cause. The staff are always welcoming and polite to customers new and old. The things sold are of really good value and quality, and you never know when you'll go in and find an amazing bargain! Located so convieniently for town centre shoppers, Katherine House is a highly recommended visit.

Centrally located over two floors it has just about everything you could ever possibly need and there are some real gems to be found in there a great place to browse in an afternoon and find priceless antiques! The goods donated to the shop are of a high quality and there are some things that are brand new, along with KHH merchandise such as Christmas cards etc. The shop is always looking for volunteers to help out and that may be the opportunity to spot a bargain before it ends up in the shop!

However this Oxfam shop is dedicated to books. And there are so many books, its wonderful to see all those shining spines, with wide-ranging subject matters and all categorized beautifully! On reading the previous review I became baffled. I cannot understand what would cause someone to write such a bad review, comparing the shop to a jumble sale. As far as I could tell everything was ordered into different sections in an extreamly customer freindly fashon. I could not dissagree with this person more. I was impressed with the quality of products available and the way that they were layed out. In my mind the shop has; new things like a high street shop, a variety of clothes like a boutique and better prices than the alternatives in both categories.

It's a really good charity shop as sells a mixture of new and second hand items, and they all seem to be of a good standard. But the main reason I like this charity shop is due to the amount of furniture they do inside, I have grabbed some great bargains from here, like a pine bookcase and chest of drawers that just needed a good polishing really and I got them for the bargain price of 20 gbp each. Recently also my brother moved into a flat of his own which his partner and they were a bit tight with money and we got them some great things from this shop including a loverly three piece suite sofa and chairs for 50 pound. They also sell quite a bit of dolls house furniture which is good as my daughter has just recently been brought a dolls house from her grandparents and getting the furniture from here at great prices has been really helpful. The staff are great also, and to be honest all charity is good but I tend to take a lot of my old stuff to them now because of how sweet and dedicated the staff are.

I spent a lot of time in here when I was pregnant and after, and probably bought up most of its stock of babysuits (well at 10p each who wouldn't?!). I don't get in there as much as I used to nowadays and sadly when I do there's not so much for my daughter now she's bigger but I've still managed to find some really good toys in there for her at under a couple of quid, often including batteries. Some of the staff know me by sight now and it's really nice to be able to chat when I go in. I managed to give a few things to them once although I'm not sure whether they would have made much from the books I gave them, they were a bit niche. This is my favourite of all the charity shops in Stony Stratford as it's like a jumble sale, which I love, being able to dig out a good bargain. The others aren't quite the same.

It's a tiny little shop - forget trying to get a wheelchair in there, you're hard put sometimes to walk round the place with a stick so you'd never get a chair in here. They do their best to keep it orderly, but with such a limited space this place does tend to get a bit well disorganised and messy. It's a good place to look though as there are often odd little things that you can find here.
