Well, "just in case" happened last week when the sad, little hard drive on my Macbook Air failed. Nonplussed (because I back up regularly like a good little doobie and you should, too!), I walked on over to Londonmac. There I found informative and courteous service. Turnaround was quick and since I didn't have or need an appointment for service, I was well-impressed to get a call that my computer was ready the next day. Price-wise, labour was about £65/hour and while I'm sure I paid over the odds for the replacement hard drive, it was worth it. I think I could've got the drive cheaper online, but was I really going to a) wait for it to be delivered, b) be assured that the drive was from a reputable source, and c) find someone to install it? No, on all counts, especially since the last time I tried to take apart a Mac (just for kicks) all of the teeny tiny screws just about drove me out of my teeny tiny mind! That said, I did ask about a replacement battery for another laptop and the nice woman working there did advise that I could get a cheaper, 3rd party battery online---less than anything she'd have in store. That's integrity. They had some Apple products in store, look to do a roaring trade in iPod repair, and also do data recovery. Out of warranty and lacking AppleCare, I wouldn't hesitate to entrust my Apple gadgets with Londonmac. Thanks to them, I (and my laptop) live to torment Yelp another day.

I…read moreread the review and, somewhat apprehensive yet desperate for my iPod nano to be repaired as Every other place in London had turned this job down, I went along to these guys (45 mins drive from me) and asked for one of the most annoying repairs to be done on my blue 4th Gen Nano....Battery replacement lol. There were 3 men there, the main one said my iPod could be fixed...so I gambled and left it with them for around an hour or so. I was hungry as it was around Lunchtime, the guys recommended a chippie 2 mins walk from them which was good and reasonably priced. I came back after an hour or so, and my iPod was working! no scratches in it or marks, professionally done and promptly too! Price was decent and level of service was very good, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Harry.
