Turns out I joined the correct line, and after a short wait, it was my turn. The employee was friendly. He scanned my QR code, verified some information, and then printed my receipt and said I was good to go. It felt weird leaving a MacBook and charger at the counter without seeing it boxed up or anything, but I received a confirmation that my work received everything a few days later!
