We then sat down to what I had no idea would be one of the best meals of my life. The wine, the service, and everything in between are what make this place truly special. Every bite was a delectable escape, and dishes appeared with prompt and friendly service, in between which, we were checked on by the owners who were more than happy to explain various item menus to us. There was also a menu in English, but it didn't really matter, as everything our party ordered was delicious. Another favorite feature was a window into the kitchen where you could watch the food being prepared. It felt like an authentic Italian kitchen with an inventive twist, which made for a truly unique night out. Locanda del Carmine is not so much a place as an experience. Definitely the highlight of my visit, this place is not to be missed if you are a fan of food and wine. To miss out on this world class restaurant and innovative Italian classics would be a sin.

For 8 euros you get a drink and access to a gigantic buffet, with pizza, gnocchi, pasta, bread and nutella, fruit, fries and many other things; and you will never run out of food, since waiters keep replenish the buffet with new things. I strongly suggest to get there at 7-7:30 pm, especially if you are a large group, since the place is small and you might wait some time before getting a table.
