My old nail salon closed - so sad as it was a nice place close to home -I found this salon driving by. It's small located in a mini strip of business - I was a walk in. There wasn't anybody there yet - got a basic pedicure. It was fine - the technician did a good job of callus removal on the heels. I will probably be back - they were nice. Really nice Korean aunties run this place! It's quick and efficient for basic services. This is not a glam spot. I don't know if they do designs and other jazzy nail art. Not a huge wall of nail colors to select from but decent. Prices are reasonable! I think it was $19 for a manicure and $35 for a pedicure. I just got very simple services, no gel or anything. I even saw one auntie get up and wipe some things down and cash someone out before returning to complete my pedicure. I kindly asked her to change her gloves and she said sure! The other lady who did my manicure left to clean a station, dumping nail clippings, sanitizing the chair and changing the bag in the pedicure bowl. She wasn't wearing gloves but after she finished, I saw her wash her hands before returning to me. They were very clean and I was pleased. read more

So I started going to this nail salon months back, cause I found it super close to my house. I went to a couple different nail techs there and I wasn't 100% in love with my acrylic nails at first. Then I went to Ellie and Kim, and I absolutely love them. Ellie Is so sweet and does the best pedicure and manicure, my boyfriend also gets a manicure from her and she does the best job. Then I started getting SNS on my natural nail about two months ago and I had Kim do them. I will not go to anyone else but Kim. Now I even schedule appointments to make sure she has time and she's there because she does such an amazing job. I never do reviews but I had to go on here and brag on Kim and Ellie because they do such a great job and they really deserve to be shouted out. read more

I got a full set of acrylic French nails and they did a horrible job. I noticed that she did not use a new sanding band for me and had a collection of dirty, used sanding bands which is a huge hygiene issue. The lady that did my nails made one of my nails crooked. Secondly, the French nail she did was so fat and wide! I like a dainty, skinny French. Lastly, the whole time she was trying to upsell me on SNS. I told her no twice, and she kept persisting, which ruined my experience. To make things worse, the acrylic started forming bubbles the next day, and a few them started to lift near the cuticles. They were all very nice and pleasant, but skills are lacking. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my walk-in pedi. The people there are super friendly and very social. Everyone was so happy, I almost felt like I was at home instead of a place of business. * The only drawback was the wait for the pedi. Making an appointment is probably definitely encouraged. * My feet were horrid, so I got the $47 pedi. They do have other pedis starting around $27. It was AMAZING!!! My feet look & feel so much better. I wear heels almost everyday so my callouses are real! Got those removed!! Really good massage. Not your standard pedi massage, but actual pressure and an intense massage. They use a timer so you aren't getting short changed on time, or able to sneak in a few more minutes of that awesome massage. It also comes with a brief hot rock massage on your legs. I got a mani & pedi. They did a good job but I'm REALLY PICKY about my manis & Pedis. Like SUPER PICKY! My friend referred me here because her nails always look ON POINT! I had high hopes. I get acrylic and gel because I'm hard on my nails. I had to start gluing them back on after 9 days. 9 DAYS! my previous place would hold up for a month ( but my lady vanished). So - while they did do a great job, it was clean, they were so kind....I need nails that will last. read more

I had an excellent pedicure here for a reasonable price with Sarah. It is a lovely, neighborhood place. The Princess Pedicure was amazing. Sarah took great care and concern for my pedicure and I highly recommend her and the services they offer. I only did a pedicure but would return for other treatments as well. I had recently gone to Lush Nail Salon in Sandy Springs for a manicure - it literally lasted less than ten minutes ( they literally barely did anything to my mails.) and was $20. Let me start by saying I always give a fair chance before making a solid decision and opinion of a business. This salon is 4 minutes from my house and relatively inexpensive. I came here the day after I moved to Atlanta after 2 weeks on the road moving cross country and my (natural) Nails were in bad shape. They did a pretty good job but not without rude comments about my nail situation (again, I drove 3000 miles my nails were not my main concern). The next time I returned it was a nightmare. I nearly left in tears. I called ahead to see if they had time for a gel manicure and they said come in 15 minutes. I have never been to a place that overbooks as much as this one. They tell you to come in and have 2 people working on one person and make you wait. And wait. No matter when you make an appointment you always have to wait. They soaked my nails in acetone for over an hour. An HOUR. My fingers were wrinkly and my nails were starting to actually ache. I asked them to do something and they finally did. I was there for TWO HOURS. Several people came and went in the time I was sitting there soaking. I'm not a nail technician but I have been getting my nails done every 10-14 days for years now. This place just doesn't hit the mark for me. I feel neglected and disrespected. I came here for 6 manicures and 3 pedicures to put some perspective. I will say the girl doing the pedicures with the glasses is really good but every other experience has been slow, mediocre, and stressful for me rather than relaxing. There are always customers loudly/obnoxiously talking on their phones during their services as well. I give 2 stars because I've had decent pedicures and manicures (sns) that lasts, but I never felt important or invited when I was in there which is why I've decided to take my business elsewhere. I love love love Kim!! She always so good at getting the shape that I want, the length & any designs. I bring my mom & girlfriends here all the time. She's also very efficient so I'm never there for over an hour which is great when you don't want to spend 3+ hours at a salon (which I'm sure we've all experienced). One of my biggest concerns with getting fake nails is the dents from the nail tech drilling away at too many layers of my nail bed creating that terrible look once you take your nails off. Kim is so good at making sure she only files down what she needs to make the product stick so that when I do decide to take a breather from getting my nails done my natural nails are always just as beautiful. I also don't experience much soreness around my nail beds after taking a break & then getting back on the full set train again which is something I've noticed happens in other salons. I do recommend that you book appointments to ensure that you're not waiting all day b/c they can get really busy! Joy is also my next favorite! She's always so sweet & never has issues taking care of my friends/family that I bring when I come to see Kim. I'll see you guys in a week! read more

My previous place (Spa Sydell) has been too ridden with drama (management and ownership) and stress sitting in the chair because the staff can't pay their bills working there. The fact that I know this and I pay a fortune to get a pedicure and feel the need to tip another fortune, means I can no longer stand to go there. I have been on the search for a new place and thanks to Samantha H., I found that home at Minerva Nails 2. These ladies are great - I walked in with no appointment on a Thursday late afternoon and they took me right away. My lady's name was Mimi and she was very nice. Usually I bring my own color with me (in case I chip it between appointments, I can fix it myself) and they were cool with that. She turned on the massage chair - I had to mess with it as it was pretty fierce. Once she took off my previous color and had my feet soaking, Mimi handed me a menu card to pick from. Decisions, decisions. I opted for the $28 massage (6 minutes) and pedicure. It was perfect. Foot and calf massage and perfectly done toes. They left me to dry with no word until Sam showed up (as we had plans to do something after). They were super nice before and then found I was a friend of Sam's and were even happier to know she had referred to me. Maybe she will get something for that? I'll definitely be back for a regular appointment as they did a great job for me and I appreciate the lack of drama! read more

I've been going to Minerva Nails for a few years and LOVE the experience. I bring all of my friends and family in there when they are in town. The girls that work there are so dedicated to making sure I am confortable and enjoy my visit. They make an effort to learn everyone's name and greet you when you walk in and leave. Although they do occasionally speak korean I never feel like they are speaking negative about customers. They sanitize very well and never use a razor or unsafe exfoliation methods on my feet, which is my pet peeve. That is so dangerous and nail salons still do it all of the time! I came to this spot after seeing a pedicure that my sister received from them and it looked really good! I probably would have not gone any other way because the outside of the shop isn't hitting on much. It makes since why they have the saying don't judge a book by it's cover! I got the best manicure and pedicure I have had in a long time! They take their time and pay so much attention to detail. My toes looked so good you would have thought they added a fake nail to my toes. The ladies working were super friendly and one of the regular customers had nothing but praises for the shop. I had been going to a close-by nail salon (near the Publix and Stooges...) for a few years but recent visits felt like the service was going down and the nail techs were inattentive/checked their phones too much/distracted. So, I yelped and saw that Minerva's Nails had a few good reviews and decided to check it out. I had a really great experience. The nail techs were all friendly and welcoming. They did ask my name and we chatted briefly about things. The selection of different pedicures gave room for a basic to luxury experience. I got something in the middle. I liked that they timed the massage part - at least you know you are getting what you pay for. And the tech offered to extend the massage for 10 mins for $12. So I did. While at the previous place I didnt feel like they did a good job at softening the feet and toes, at Minerva's they did. And it was done in a way that I could still relax and not have to hold my leg up to have the work done. Okay so I'm not going to lie, I went into this place for the first time with low expectations...but wow, I'm so glad I went, because it was wonderful. They have a Great nail polish selection, and a huge gel color selection!!! It's a Small nail place with not too many people working - but everyone who does work here is AMAZING, but there might be a wait depending on when you go / how many people are working. Seriously, the sweetest and funniest nail technician that I've ever encountered, as well as good English! The customer service is top notch. Only thing I would improve on is maybe having a list of all the services you offer on the wall, longer massages, and offer customers some water. When having my extensions applied to my finger nails, the technician who spoke little English used a nail file up against my skin and ripped my skin until it bled. She obviously was very new and still learning on the job. While I was there several other women came in who were obviously repeat customers and seemed overall pleased with the service they were getting. Deeply disappointed to have to give the following review. This salon always seems to have the same 3 women working there and they are all incredibly friendly. The polish selection is so-so, a lot of the regular polishes seem very old and need to be thinned out, the gel selection is not the best I've ever seen. The provide the "usual suspects" of services that you can expect at a neighborhood nail salon. My biggest issue is going to have to be cleanliness, since my last visit there I have contracted a FUNGUS on my feet. Always be cautious of where you go.
