However I was disappointed with the rice it came with, pork fried rice....no onions, spring onions and beansprouts, just rice, egg and pork pieces. I missed the vegetable pieces in it and found it rather bland. The Generals chicken dish was decent enough although not enough sauce came with it. I was introduced to this restaurant and although is no longer a sit in restaurant but only take out, it is a very good one. I ordered the Singapore Noodles which were expertly cooked with that nice spicy taste of curry. Not spicy hot, but some in there for flavoring. I also had their spicy wings which were fried to perfection. Nice and flavorful as they seem to have been manirated prior to cooking. We got all this food for only $100 ish bucks!!! It tasted spectacular too! Everything was delicious- from the chicken, to the lo mein. We ordered special fried rice, chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, and I believe it was orange chicken as well. Really disappointed. I ordered roast pork lo mein, fried rice, 3 egg rolls, and wanton soup. We were really hungry and excited to eat. We started with the wanton soup. It smelled very odd. It had a slight horse stable/barn smell to it, but ignored it and thought it might just be the different spices and seasonings mixing in an odd way. The soup tasted very bland and the wontons were nearly undercooked and didn't taste good at all. Next we tried the egg roll. It was undercooked as well, a little doughy, and flavor was lacking. Honestly, I've had better from a frozen Tai Pei box of egg rolls from the grocery. Then we tried the lo mein. Flavor was bland and lacked the known common flavors of this dish. The pieces of pork were mostly fat and gristle. The lo mein noodles were very stiff and much too firm. Flavor was poor. The fried rice had a latin flavor to it. I love both latin and Chinese food, and I know the difference and when flavors or dishes are mixed. This is a rice dish that should not have a hint of the flavor of arroz con gandules, but it did. After a single bite of each, from soup to lo mein, it was fed to our dogs. The whole reason we ordered from this place is the Yelp ratings. Usually the ratings are pretty accurate, but not for this restaurant.
