The thing that's really great about Dounias is the staff. Everyone who works in here are so nice and friendly and chatty, all in a very lovely way, not pushy or intrusive. And mostly, they just seem caring. Unfortunately this isn't the pharmacy closest to my house, otherwise I would always come here for my pharmaceuticals. Well done, Dounias peeps. I got it home and neither my boyfriend or I could figure out how to work it -- it appeared to be faulty. Today, 9 days later, I found some time to take it in and return it. The lady took it behind the counter and dipped it in hot water and was trying to show me how it does in fact work. I still couldn't see where the mercury line was and she was proclaiming that it was very thin but indeed there. I said I could not see the line and assumed it was faulty, and would like to return the thermometer. She refused, saying it was indeed working and that refunds had to be within 7 days anyways (which is not stated on the receipt). During this whole process she was very rude and demeaning. Just tested it again upon getting home and it STILL DOES NOT WORK. You would think for $5.95 she would just return it -- as now she's lost my business and hopefully this review will deter others from shopping there too.

So it's kind a renaissance-esque, all in one type business. Prices are all pretty average and there's a good selection of brands within each product area (except where only one brand corners the market anyway). Located right near the junction tram stop on High St, it a pretty convenient place to grab some stuff while you wait.
