Great class, Gary is a high energy teacher, and brings a great level of knowledge and personal training experience to the class. He teaches with enthusiasm at a level that all students can learn from, no matter what your personal comfort level is, from a beginner to a experienced person. The shooting range was an area where Gary also made great effort to give those with limited hand gun training all the attention needed to provide a safe and informative experience with a great emphasis on safety. I am a novice who took the class in WILLMAR for a concealed carry permit. The instructor, Gary Peterson, was very knowledgeable. He kept the class moving along. It was very concise but thorough. After the class he took us to a gun range for additional experience. I was nervous about taking the class based on my lack of experience and exposure to owning or using guns, but he made everyone feel at ease, men and women alike. Gary Peterson is a great instructor. He teaches basic safety skills and explains the legalities of carrying a weapon. He also covers the after effects of violent encounters and the legal ramifications. He offers additional individualized training at no charge, which, unfortunately, isn't available until after the current covid restrictions are lifted.
