Have stayed in this hotel on two nights of tours around Europe plus four nights for a conference in…read moreEssen. The rooms have always been immaculate with everything functioning perfectly. Breakfast is an amazing spread of everything you could ever wish for from a continental buffet with hot food at the weekend. Service has always been friendly, efficient and interested! The building, an old mining property is extremely impressive, the foyer opens into a huge room with attractive seating and bar/breakfast/dinner area. It is in a quiet location with plenty of parking, whilst being very close to the A40. The price is at the high end of my budget but the value is way of my scale for comparatively priced hotels.
