We got an attendant who was disinterested in us, hardly able to speak English (he did apologize at the end for not being able to speak English well), and was super strict about counting clues. About his three clues, he just ghosted us. He didn't bother even saying that he had given us 3 clues. We experienced "radio silence" quite literally. I'm not even sure how he counted clues: in one circumstance, he watched us fumble around for 15-20 minutes and then told us the clue was missing and he would just give it to us. Of course our time ran out before finishing the room and he happily came in to show us the door. He did though give us extra time, which he did not have to do, after we complained about the poor clues, language barrier, and overall confusion we faced. So we gave them 2 stars. We've done escape rooms in the past where the attendants seem quite eager to see how we were doing. Not in this case. We'd receive a "clue" after we had already figured the puzzle out. Was he even paying attention?

We walked in without a reservation, and the person at the front desk (can't remember his name) was amazingly helpful, even with the language barrier. We ended up doing, "El Tesoro de Moctezuma", which is a great beginner room. The clues are both in English and Spanish for this room, awesome if you are not fluent in Spanish. It is mostly a "search for the key" type of room with a couple of more complicated puzzles. Some of the locks we have never seen before, which was cool. The best part of this room is the decor though. We felt completely immersed!

The help they gave when we asked for a hint was just right in my opinion! I loved how they combine different kinds of puzzles, so set up a good team with people who have different strenghts. It was the perfect intro to an escape room for our eight-year-old daughter. For around $20 a person, we booked the room where everything is hobbit-sized since it was more kid-friendly. Staff explained the rules in English and the clues were in English as well as Spanish. Nothing was too complicated, but we did need to ask for a few clues. We solved the puzzle within an hour and had a blast!
