I traveled 40 minutes to visit this store on 5/15/2026. The store is large and well organized; however, the items are grossly overpriced. I searched through the men's & women's clothing sections and found 2 items I wanted to buy: one women's cardigan sweater and one women's button up blouse. There are placards on the clothing racks that include a price and the words "unless marked individually." When I brought the items to the cashier, she stated that neither had prices on them (so shouldn't they have been the posted price??). She then turned and conferred with another employee about what the prices should be. These items were nothing special. I was expecting the usual rate (around $4-$5), but she turned back to me and said $12 each! I was dumbfounded. I could buy similar items brand new for the same or lower prices. I said no thanks and left with nothing. I will not be returning to this store. read more

This store is very hit-or-miss. They have a lot of quality clothing items, and when they have sales, it's great. However, without sales, this is the most expensive thrift store I've ever been to. They often have new furniture pieces (like the bedside table in the photo), but they're insanely expensive. I'm sure the "retail value" from whatever store it initially came from was even more expensive, but it makes me question who they're trying to cater to. Thrift stores shouldn't be catering to rich people who have no issue purchasing a $90 night stand. The cashiers are also pretty slow and they usually only have 1 or 2 working at a time. On the plus side, the store is well organized and feels clean, but the cons outweigh the pros a majority of the time. read more

If you're willing to put up with subtle racism (which, given, we ARE in the south) feel free to shop here. I come here often, and I'm always treated the same. At first, I didn't want to say it's because I'm not white, but after having similar experiences each time I visit this location, I'm starting to realize that it may in fact be the common denominator. Today I waited in line and watched people in line before me be greeted and helped immediately. When it was my turn, the old white male cashier saw me waiting in line with my hands completely full. We made eye contact yet he pretended not to see me and closed his register down, to walk to the other side and gossip with the two other cashiers up front. Still I waited, thinking maybe ? he didn't see me. At this point, the lady in front of me has finished paying, and is just talking to all three cashiers. Another cashier looks at me with my hands full and again decides to not open up to take me. When the lady in front of me finally leaves, I wait to be called forward. That doesn't happen, because guess what? All three cashiers are STILL talking to each other, ignoring the fact that there is someone in line. At this point I'm fed up and walk up to their register, placing my items on the counter. I was carrying a lot of glass and didn't want to drop anything. When I do this, there is zero acknowledgment from them, no hello, how are you, etc. Instead they continue their conversation from before and start wrapping my items. As soon as someone gets in line behind me though, you best believe that crusty old man zipped to the other side, so eager to ring them up. And you guessed it, these people behind me were white. So that just solidifies my point. This place has nice housewares and glassware, so if you are not white and are fine with being treated like you do not exist, PLEASE visit this store! They do have some good stuff. Just be prepared to deal with miserable old people who look like they are about to expire treating you like you are an inconvenience to them for simply giving them your business. read more

This place truly impressed me. I went in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised at what I found inside. The store is clean and incredibly organized - in fact, the most organized thrift store I have ever been to. Everything is broken down by type of clothing, size, and then color. The racks are full, but not overstuffed to where you can't easily look through the items. The pants are carefully hung so that you can read the tags. The prices are comparable to Goodwill (about $6 for ladies dresses, $4 for tops, etc.) but it is SO much easier to find things because of how meticulously organized the workers keep the store. Also, compared to the Goodwill in TR, the quality of the items also seems better. The store has clean dressing rooms for trying on clothes, and a couch outside where your tired-of-shopping husband can sit while you explore your treasures and try them on :D The staff was incredibly helpful and just generally kind. They seemed to be happy to work there and to believe in the mission of the store, which is encouraging to see. **When you stop in, be sure to visit the color of the day rack. Clothing with the color of the day is $.50, regardless of what the original price was! read more

You need to make sure you have the correct color on your dollar racks. Just had a horrible experience at the Travelers Rest, SC store. Whole racks full of blue tag on the 1 dollar racks and not giving it for a dollar. Then manager lied to my face and said it was just a few blue tags! I have donated lots of money and clothes to MH but after that experience (because I Hate a liar) I am not sure I'll be back!! read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here! Got a cute shirt, blazer, and some funky pants for $14. The pants and the blazer were both worth over $30 each (from the tags), so I was super stoked about that purchase! Will be returning here periodically. As a college student, it helps to find somewhere to get nice looking clothes for super cheap, and everything is well organized. 10/10! :) read more

Excellent thrift store. Staff is so incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. The black haired cashier lady who is always seen wearing a hat is one of the sweetest souls I've ever met. Fair prices, nice selection of furniture and houseware. Dressing rooms are always clean. Conveniently close to Walmart and restaurants. Great place to support. read more

I love, love, love this thrift with a purpose store!!! The staff are always kind and helpful, the clothes are color, size and type organized, and the space is large enough that you don't feel like you are stepping over anyone! It is very clean, and I always leave with something to meet a need in my life! Do yourself a favor and skip Goodwill and give them a try! read more
