Another Yelp find. Miracle is about a 20 minute tram ride from Central station and is a neighborhood spot. It's small & cozy and they keep the lights dimmed so a nice place for date night. They are definitely known for their pizza as I saw many coming in for take away. I arrived at 8:30 on a Friday night & all that was available was a seat at the bar so I took it. Sandra, at the bar, was very helpful explaining the specials for the evening and the various pasta and pizza varieties. I ended up ordering the 1/2 size which was huge!) Octopus (Pulpo) Salad. Octopus was cooked just right and tasty-the olives, tomatoes with oil/vinegar sauce mixed nicely . I decided to go with a pizza although the house made pasta dishes also looked very good. Never had a Beef Carpacio Pizza so decided to give it a try. I got the small and it was more than enough. Crust was light with just enough tomato sauce. The Carpacio was topped with Parmesan shavings and Rucola. All the toppings balanced and combined nicely. Perfect pizza! I didn't have room for dessert on Friday and ended up returning on Sunday (they're closed Saturday) to try the house made Tiramisu with a Cappuccino. Some of the best Tiramisu I've had! Reservations are a must if you want a table before 9. I spoke to the owner who was there on Sunday to thank her for the wonderful food and hospitality. Can't recommend Miracle enough! read more

I can't even put into words how great this place was! I took a spontaneous birthday trip to Zürich and this was my very first restaurant and I really chose well! The truffle pasta is worth walking all over town to find. The service was great and the price wasn't bad for the quality you get. I will absolutely be back and id definitely recommend! read more

The miracle is that this place is open late and on Sundays when other places aren't, and that your bill will probably be less than $100. That's saying something. The ambiance is 10/10 lovely. Local neighborhood joint with low lighting. On the other hand, the pizza and service is average. They serve a cracker crust style pizza with different toppings, which might be some people's thing, but it's not mine so much. To each their own. Haven't tried the pasta or other dishes so I can't speak to those. They say they're house made which is promising. Overall, give it a try if you're in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't go too far out of my way to dine here. read more

-popped in to Miracle on a hot afternoon (and were one of two tables: a two-top and a four-top) for a frosty-cold beer. I had hoped to order at the bar, and move outside to sit in a shaded spot on the pavement. I did indeed order at the bar, and was told that the beers would be brought to the table. What the dude behind the counter really meant was: first I'll finish whatever it is that I'm doing--prep work/what-not, and, in approximately ten minutes, you'll get your drinks. The beers were cold, so that was good, but they were gone too quickly. We weren't inclined to order another round. I can wait fairly well if a place is busy, but I have a harder time waiting if a place is dead. Other interesting bits: family dog (I assume) traipsing through the bar area; customer's child (Stammgast?) being served behind the bar a soda. That was all down-homey and cutesy-pootsy, but a strange and informal sight as well. read more

As somebody who moved to Zürich after living almost 9 years in Italy, I can say that the pizza here is very good. I've always had a Margherita (simple, and in my opinion, the true test to see if the pizza is any good) and it's always yummy! Other people I've been with have had pepperoni, prosciutto and arugula, and mushroom and garlic and they all enjoyed there's too! If you're in to spicy (as I definitely am) make sure to ask them to bring you the bowl of chopped hot peppers in oil! They also have home made ice cream with some creative flavors. In terms of food, one of the best pizzerias in Zurich. Pizzas available in small or large. The large ones come out looking huge on the plate, but the dough is rolled wonderfully thin. Ambience can be a bit crowded, depending on where you sit. For this, worthwhile going later in the evening, getting the pizza to take out, or requesting to sit to the left of the door when you come in-less chance of you being on top of your neighbours. read more

One of my favorite spots in town. Pretty small and cozy restaurant. Only a few tables and the dim lights provide the perfect setting for taking your date out to dinner. Be aware: Reservations for dinner are recommended. The menu includes various classic and creative pasta dishes, a wide variety of pizza options, some meat and fish options, as well as daily specials. Menu and prices can be found online. Have had nothing but phenomenal experiences choosing pasta dishes here and the time I could not pass up the pizza, I found that it might have been my favorite pizza in Zurich yet. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and the sizes of the dish. A personal favorite is the Nüsslisalat (w/ egg and bacon) as a starter that is more than enough to share with your date. We had some really great food at Miracle and some average food. The pasta dishes we incredible. The pizza was average. The salad was ok. My daughter and I had the pasta. I believe one was a carbonara and the other was a baked pasta with cheese. The prosciutto pizza my son had was average. We are outside and while the staff was very nice it was a bit slow. They were very busy and I would recommend getting a reservation. The location is on a relatively quiet street off seefeldstrasse. Great place but a bit small so call for a reservation. read more

Decent prices, great service, accommodates big groups. They serve good pizza and decent pasta. People often take out the pizza since it's quick and tasty. It's really dark inside but it's a great quick dinner spot or a place to get a group together. It's even decent for a date. I've heard the Swiss consider this place very cheap but to this New Yorker, it's very reasonably priced for what you get. The tiramisu was ok and the chocolate cake wasn't a chocolate cake at all (more like a thick pound cake) but the wine list was fine and the staff was vet friendly. Rule #1 - make a reservation. Home made pasta and this crust pizza. Tables are small so if you are only two or three, reserve a spot at the bar. We had the carbonara, and bolognese. Carbonara was exceptional, and the bolognese was just a notch below. The pizza had artichoke and olives, and the olives made me smile with every bite. Miracle is Italian cuisine, but looks very Swiss on the inside. Stübli style. Wood paneled walls in small cozy dining room. It's off the beaten track, one block from Seefeldstrasse toward the lake. It's not über creative but the execution is done well. Also confusing, but not surprising, is that one of the 3 soups on the menu curry shrimp coconut soup and also that they're well-known for their cordon bleu. It always makes me grin to see Thai on a Japanese menu or even an Italian one. Nonetheless, quality here is not a point of contention. The beef carpaccio consists of paper thin beef slices tiled over a pile of arugula and drizzled with a sweet pesto, shaved parmesan and a fresh lemon quarter. The caesar salad is served with a rightfully creamy, albeit bland dressing but littered with generous amounts of crispy bacon and homemade buttery croutons, which make up for it. The pizza resemble flying saucers hanging over the edge of the large plates. Crust is thin and crispy. Topping combinations are quite standard but there were no qualms when I requested an additional topping. My 'Paese' pizza came with bacon and onion; I added anchovies. This was a very good pizza and their fresh sliced chilies in oil were the icing on the cake. A pasta from the daily special menu was ravioli stuffed with shrimp and zucchini, served with monkfish in a light cream sauce and basil foam. This was creative and very well prepared. The dessert menu is quite deserted - two choices which were so dreary, I don't remember them and about 15 types of ice cream. So if you really like ice cream, their desert menu is probably attractive. And the ice cream is homemade according to the menu. They have a long list of grappas. A short list of beer and wine. Service is very attentive and friendly! Prices are very reasonable. read more

One of Seefeld's secret jewels. Hidden in a small side street and looking rather like a pub than a restaurant, it's not easy to find this wonderful restaurant if you're not a local (or taken by one!). It's small, uncomplicated, friendly, cosy, fair-priced and the food is delicious. Not an Italian-style restaurant but the Pizzas are fantastic. They have timely limited specials (my favorite ever was the BBQ beef Pizza! Bring it back!!!!!), which are highly recommendable. I ate pizza from here a few times when I visited Switzerland. I'm going to preface this by saying that I'm from New York: this pizza is solid. In NY, it would be just decent.
