This observatory is on the 51st floor, which doesn't sound that high, but it's one of the tallest buildings in the city and it sits on a high neighborhood. This is also the only observatory in the city, so it'll have to do. It's actually very nice--with observation decks on 2 floors. From the top of this building, you can see all of the beaches of the city below, as well as the easternmost tip of South America. It's quite beautiful and the entry fee is very reasonable (R$20, or about $4 US). The other really good thing about coming to visit Sky Beach is that after you've spent as much time as you'd like here, you can go down 1 more floor to visit Sky Bar, where they have indoor and outdoor seating, a large cocktail menu, as well as a decent little food menu.
