Stagger Lee's was hands down the best flat white I had in the city. I won't list all the places I went, but in the 8 days I was in melbourne I had at least 2 flat whites a day. Melbourne is perhaps one of the BEST coffee cities I've ever visited, and that's saying a lot as I love my coffee. Something about Stagger Lee's coffee was perfect, it had the right amount of richness and boldness without any bitterness, and it was perfection. There were 4 of us, and three of us ordered another round of flat whites which is the only place we've done that haha. I talked enough about the coffee, let's talk about the food! All I can say is WOW! We all enjoyed our dishes. I ordered the Burrata, Spiced Pumpkin, Pickled Beets, and Chili Maple Cashews. It was outstanding, everything matched so well from a taste and texture standpoint. You have the creamy almost sweet burrata, the tangy beets, the crunchy cashews, all with a wonderful dressing. What an outstanding dish. Finally, the workers there were super efficient and friendly. One woman working there reminded me of Kate McKinnon from SNL. I mean that in the most complimenting way possible, just a bundle of good energy throughout. The place was also great, with a good vibe and a relaxed atmosphere.

I have worked in quite a few different offices and experienced a number of local stores that are all similar by the contents that they sell, but the one thing they were all missing was Kim. Kim always has an infectious smile that will actually leave you smiling for the rest of the day. She will always remember your order even if you have only been there once before. Her husband makes the best bacon and egg sandwich that I think I will ever eat. If you work in the city and are in walking distance to Kim's in your break you have to come here.

The owner is disrespectful to anyone who isn't in her league (Greek) or her regular locals. It puts shame on all the other Greek people that I know and love for the past 45 years in Australia. Maybe she thought that I was a new Australian ? Despite the fact you are in a face to face environment! I happen to have many Greek friends, plus family friends. I love the Greek culture , my neighbours are Greek, I have many Greek friends and we are so very close. I went in on Wednesday, around 12.30 pm, to buy a muffin for my old Greek neighbour and I was utterly disappointed with Irene's attitude towards me. She was annoyed that I approached the counter and ask for a Muffin, she mumbled that she had to close and that her dog was diagnosed with cancer. I told her to go, to get her staff to process the payment for me. She said no. She continued to process the payment herself. When I asked for a chai she said no that the machine was turned off. She was abrupt and annoyed. Then I asked her a question, " how would I know that you have an issue , I've just walked in from outside and the door was open , there's no sign on the door " My voice was raise as I was really upset with her. She didn't answer and looked at the door. She then told me you are yelling please leave. I turn around to leave, I then pointed a finger and said I'm leaving, I will never come back here again ! I went home and told my Greek neighbours, his granddaughter and my two Greek friends in the street. They were shocked to hear about my experience with Lumberjack Richmond. They also said that they'd never go there again...Thanks Irene for the horrible experience!
