We stopped here on our way through, and though google maps did not get us there, a quick phone call straightened us out. The Japanese food is good, but it does come with kimchee, a Korean appetizer. The owners are Korean, and very proud of kim chee's positive health effects. According to a poster we found there, Korea was the only place where SARS did not break out,likely due to the positive health effects of kim chee, Korea's spicy cabbage sauerkraut. We were excited to see a Japanese restaurant in Swift Current since we frequent them in Calgary. Everything on the menu was pretty expensive but I ordered vegetable tempura and my friend ordered a tempura shrimp udon soup. The shrimp udon (which was $13 by the way) showed up and was a bowl only half full of broth with some noodles and literally one tempura shrimp. My friend tried the broth which was flavorless, and the noodles were not cooked properly and could barely be chewed. We informed the waitress that we wanted to send it back. We explained that not only was the bowl only half full with only one shrimp but it was flavorless and the noodles were very rubbery. She argued with us that this is the way it's supposed to be and repeatedly told us we were wrong. Finally she took the soup back. I finished my tempura vegetables and went up to pay. I was shocked to see my friends soup still on the bill. I told her that we sent that back and I didn't feel we should have to pay for it since he only had one bite and we sent it back. She became very confrontational and angry and again told me I was wrong, I was wrong, this is how soup is supposed to be, and who's going to pay for this and since he had a bite of it I must pay for it. After about five minutes of back and forth I was tired of getting yelled at in front of the entire restaurant so I payed the $13 on top of the $9 for my tempura vegetables.
