Tried this place last weekend. I got the 3 meat sampler. The meat was tasteless. I had to use one of their sauces (there were 6 to choose from on the table, but I forgot which one I used) in order to finish my meal. For sides, I had potato salad and mac and cheese. The potato salad was good, but the mac and cheese tasted like something out of the box. I definitely wasn't impressed by the quality of the food. The staff was friendly, though. More like 4.5 stars, but they don't have that. The good: Really good bbq considering it's a chain and in Nevada. It's actually better than some I've had in Texas, so that's saying a lot. The people that were behind the counter were pleasant and helpful. An example of this was when they called our order, it was three trays and the woman helped me carry the odd one to the table. The decor screams military & first responder, which I'm good with. The not so good: the chairs had no cushion. My mom (90) was not happy with that. There were not enough places to sit. People had to sit outside and as soon a table opened inside, they were running in with their food. It was still 95 degrees at 6pm when we went. It looks like they own the whole building, but the back half is empty. I truly hope they add more tables and maybe some chairs with cushions. I love the American-patriot atmosphere in this restaurant! Really cool the way they honor different branches of the military and various 1st responders. That's special and something you don't see. I got the 3 meat combo - juicy brisket, pulled pork, and regular sausage + green beans and Mac and cheese. It also came with corn bread. The brisket was reeeeaaally good, definitely some of the best around. Super moist and tender with a great Smokey flavor. Believe it or not I might actually like Mission's brisket more than Roadkill's. Only problem with the brisket is you can they're really stingy on the portions with it compared to the other meats. The service and food was great. My only complaint is the food cost. You get small servings of meat with the 2 meat sampler for $15 and no sides with it. Two ribs and 4 tiny slivers of brisket. Brand new BBQ joint (chain) it's been busy since opening so we squeezed in for a quick lunch. We went with lean brisket a BBQ staple. The Mission BBQ is cool and comfy inside and the staff was prompt and friendly. The brisket had a good bark on one edge :( and may have been held in a tray for a bit, but had good flavor. The fries were great, fried in their own fryer without any coating (Gluten Free)!!!!! Per my connoisseur daughter the cornbread was on point, not sweet with a good corn flavor throughout, not sweet cake like. Lots of fresh brewed ice tea and lemonade. 5 star experience 4 star brisket. I'm a born and raised Texan, still on the search for decent BBQ in Las Vegas. After 29 years, I can honestly say that Mission didn't come close. I ordered the 3 piece meat sampler and a side of collard greens. The choices of meat that I made were brisket, turkey and shredded chicken. The brisket was a nice cut of meat, but had no smoke ring, which to me means not flavored enough. To me, it tasted like a roast plain and simple with a slight flavor of smoke. The turkey was good, but in all my years of going to BBQ restaurants, never seen turkey on the menu. The "shredded chicken" was questionable. It looked like a pile of dried pine needles. Really terrible. The collards were terribly overcooked to the consistency of almost a puree. Not exactly tempting. I found it kind of funny when I thought about the manager telling me, upon my order of the collards, Oh, great choice. Maybe he was being sarcastic? The service was good and the store was clean, as was the restroom. Looks like I'm still on my journey to find some great BBQ. Ok...I do have high standards when it comes to smoked meats. Tried Mission BBQ last night for dinner. I ordered the brisket sandwich with 2 sides and a drink. Upon seeing my plate, it looked like a fair amount of food. However once I took the top of the bun off, I quickly learned that it wasn't. Half of the meat on the sandwich was just big chunks of fat. See the included photo. What meat was there did have good flavor, I will admit that. Next were the bbq sauces. I sample all but 1 which was the Baja bold. All the sauces tasted very similar to me. Just tangy bbq sauce. One just a little more spicy than the other, but still tangy. I'm not sure why people equate spicy to good taste. For my 1st side, I chose the Mac and cheese because the kid that took my order raved about how it was the best in town. Well, it just seemed like KFC mac and cheese with some crushed up croutons on top. Nevada Chicken Cafe is 100% better than this bulk Mac and cheese from a can or bag. The next side was their baked beans brisket. It mirrored the bbq sauce. Too tangy for my likes and had a hint of jalapeño in it. After seeing the meat on the sandwich and how fatty it was, I didn't even want to finished the beans. John Mulls beans, even though they are a tad spicy are way better! Now for the cup size. They offer a medium sized cup or a souvenir style plastic cup for an extra fee and $2 of that goes to some donation. I didn't feel that I needed another cup at home, but this is Nevada with scorching temperatures at times. That medium cup isn't going to cut it. No one wants to make 10 trips to the fountain for refills before they or halfway through their meal. The location seemed clean though it wasn't busy. I don't feel that it was worth the $21+ ticket and honestly I will probably never visit one of their locations again. It just wasn't that good of a dinning experience. read more

The energy in this place was amazing from the time I walked in! The brisket sandwich was so juicy and tender! It was smoked to perfection! The bread was sooo soft and flavorful. All of the sauces were great to try and the Mac and cheese was very flavorful and cheesy! Everything was perfect. Being a daughter of a veteran I was very proud to walk into such a friendly place that shoe appreciation to our first responders! I went on Tuesday 5/20 opening day at lunch and there was a long long stretching out the door so I won't ding them on service as I excepted it to be slow. People are complaining about the price. It must be they don't go out very much because even McDonalds is expensive these days. Went here on Father's Day to try mission bbq for the first time & I was definitely not disappointed! Great service friendly staff & the food was awesome! Food was made pretty quickly! We didn't have to wait too long. The ambiance was pretty chill, definitely a place you can bring your families to. The employees were friendly! I forgot the cashiers name, but they were extremely nice.. I believe 2 employees came up to us in the span of 30 mins as we ate, asking if we found everything okay. The food was great, had no complaints about our experience. We had the pulled pork sandwich (yummy) and fries on the side! I've had mission barbecue before so I'm not new to the company. I've had it back in Virginia and FL. Reviews about this location are pretty accurate in saying the Brisket was over salted, and it's cold so bring a jacket. That's the only negative comment I have. Otherwise food was good enough to come back when we want some decent BBQ. Nothing super special, but overall tasty enough. I made an Arnold Palmer which was delicious 10/10 . Corn bread was ok, the whipped butter definitely helped. Banana Pudding was 10/10 definitely recommend( seasonal). Macaroni was alright, I've had better in vegas. Sausage links were great, as they always are. That's what I always get. And the customer service was awesome!! I forgot the young man's name but he was especially welcoming and helpful. He told us it was the last day for the banana pudding - that's why I caved and got it. OVERALL 7/10 for me, will be coming back since it's close by. read more

The meat is very moist and tender though not the most seasoned, fortunately they have a wide variety of sauces to choose from including their signature vinegar sauce which I found pairs phenomenally with the pulled pork. Their meat platters are half a pound of meat at a very reasonable price, and while the sides may seem expensive the drink combo prices rein them in. Don't be fooled, the large trays make the portions seem small but it was plenty with just a single side. The restaurant is formatted closer to fast-food, so you won't have to wait long and the staff is super friendly. I'll definitely be back to try their other offerings. read more
