Took my teenage daughter to Dr Harris for the first time today. This is her third chiropractor she has seen and I have seen many different ones over the years, but none that we have LOVED. Dr Harris was wonderful. He was thorough in his exam and care, explaining every step along the way to myself and my daughter, which eased her anxiousness. He didn't rush us, he didn't try to sell us any sort of memberships or vitamin lines, and most importantly, he was gentle as he adjusted her. Dr.Harris is phenomenal. I've gone to him multiple times with constant work and fitness related injuries. I've gone to a few chiropractors before. None come close to the professionalism and efficiency as Dr.Harris.After a visit my back feels better than ever. Dr. Harris is incredible. I had pain in my neck for over the past year and I went to two different medical doctors and all they could do is put me on medication. One doctor even put me on different antibiotics thinking I had an inner ear infection....I still found no relief!!! Dr. Harris really spent the time and effort to make sure I would be taken care of. I was so impressed and so was my boyfriend! He will also be calling tomorrow to make an appointment to see Dr. Harris. Even though he doesn't have problems with his spine, it's always a good idea to get a check up (It's like going to the dentist, never a bad idea). The lady at the front was absolutely sweet and warm, I felt very comfortable! Prior to my visit I read a bad review about someone complaining about insurance. I do not believe it is their duty to figure out your personal insurance. Shouldn't you know what your deductible is? You're the one paying for it.... Doctors offices do get busy, if they do not call you, then call them! You sound extremely lazy and arrogant. It started with a warm welcome, and a absolutely great experience dealing with the office staff. They both were friendly and professional and made me feel like they were happy I was there. As a new mom, with a bad back to begin with, I often feel tension or strain in my back or neck. But last week while lifting my growing chunky monkey baby I must have done something bad to one of my already-deteriorating lumbar discs. Sciatic pain out the wazoo! Screaming, burning, stabbing pain down the whole leg that just would not go away. I went to Kaiser, but they only offer more and more drugs to dull the pain. I've been down that road twice before and ended up in surgery, and unable to work or do much but bed rest for months. Not possible with a kid! I was hoping to find a chiropractor to help treat the problem at the source without surgery. I am low-income and my insurance does not cover chiropractic so it also had to be affordable and effective care. I've never been to a chiropractor before, so I was not sure what to expect, other than fear that being adjusted would hurt! It was easy to make an appointment with Paula to see Dr. Harris. I arrived, filled in a small amount of paperwork which was explained clearly to me by Paula, and in a short while, Dr. Harris asked me about my injury and how I was feeling, and what my history with my back issues was. He felt my back to see where he could find tightness or inflammation. He pressed on a few places in my upper back and I was surprised to hear a lot of cracks and pops. It didn't hurt. I felt relief and better circulation in that area right away. I have had massages by people who didn't know what they were doing or who weren't really good at it, but this doctor has some pretty effective healing hands! He was able to find where my tension and injuries were and work with it to a degree that really surprised me. Decompression or traction worked well in the past for my sciatica, so he started there. He gave me a gentle decompression treatment with heat and electric muscle stimulation therapy to relax the muscles. As it was already pretty warm, I did get a little sweaty, but he explained that it would help relax my muscles so that my spine could decompress well. The decompression treatment was a table that you lie face down on. A machine gently puts pressure on your legs and then releases again which helps to sort of stretch your spine out and get your discs back into the position they should be in. It's sort of like relaxing and feeling yourself stretch to your full height. I have minor scoliosis and it feels great when everything's slightly more in alignment. Decompression does not hurt at all. I felt a little silly with my face wedged into the table, but Dr. Harris was very careful with all movements and checked constantly with me to make sure that the angle my waist was resting at was comfortable, and that the motion of the decompression treatment table wasn't aggravating anything. When the decompression was over, I was helped to carefully turn over. Dr. Harris examined my neck and turned my head to loosen my muscles and adjust my neck. He warned me about the pops that I would hear and explained why they happen. I really appreciated that because it made me feel more comfortable with everything. I've had reflexology massages from people who don't tell you before they pop your arms or something, and when you are trusting your money and your hurting body to someone else and feel vulnerable and unsure what they are doing, that's never a great way to feel. I thought that Dr. Harris' style was pretty effective with a nervous Nellie like me. My treatment cost under $50. They accept debit card, which was convenient. I felt that I was already walking more fluidly and limping less right away. Planning on going back for a follow-up in a few days to see if the inflammation has gone down. Hopefully it has and then he will look at adjusting my lower vertebrae! The customer service is professional, polite and kind here, prices are extremely reasonable, the clinic is spotless, tons of magazines in the waiting area, and they had a great playlist of classical music. Dr. Harris and Paula even have charming and adorable British (I think? I should've asked but was too shy!) accents. I can't think of a single thing to complain of and am very happy that I found this chiropractor! If you are on the lookout for a good one, give Dr. Harris a try! read more

I've been looking for a good chiropractor for sometime now and Mission Grove is by far the best place I've ever been to. Dr Harris and his mother are wonderful. I received an adjustment with heat therapy. I've never had heat therapy at any other chiropractic office and now think it must. This is the best Chiropractic experience I have ever had!! My previous chiropractor spent 2 years of 5 min adjustments with no results. Dr Harris uses electic and heat therapy, then massage before adjusting you. He has helped me identify the root of the problem every time so that I can get on the road to recovery. I went last week for a back and neck adjustment. It was my first time there so I knew to get there a few minutes early to fill out the paper work which was only 2 pages. The receptionist was very nice and friendly. My appointment was right on time and the doctor was great as well. After he asked me about my complaints of pain and medical history, he went straight to work on my back. I didn't think he would be able to adjust me that well because of how tense my muscles are; well I was wrong. I haven't popped and cracked so much in years. Dr. Ian Harris is the best Chiropractor I have seen. He is one of the very few Chiropractor that can adjust head or cranial subluxation; and is the best at head subluxations. Dr Harris changed my life!!!! I've had clicking jaw everytime I open my mouth that has been bothering me for quite some time now almost a year. I went through my doctor in Kaiser they did xray but nothing. I also tried a couple of chiropractors still nothing. I went to my dentist and he tried to referred me to an oral surgeon which I'm not ready for. So one day I was desperate and kept looking and saw dr Harris chiropractic in mission grove on the internet. I called made an appointment from front desk lady to Dr Harris the customer service is 100% across the board. After dr Harris performed 2 sessions whaallaa! Clicking annoying sounds is GONE! Dr Harris is a real gentleman, he talks to you look into your eyes and listens, this guys is an absolute genius he really knew his profession. I come see him once a month now just to get everything adjusted I definitely refer Dr Harris and the rest of his team to anyone that seeks answers and and results.
