The prices are great and they have lots of sales all week. Their staff is super nice and are ready to help any time you have a question, they helped me pick some clothes for my niece. Shopping retail is a last resort for me, so this is my go-to spot. Bonus points to them when I found out they work with churches and agencies in town to gift clothing for free to those in need. Now I can send all the things I don't use any more to them and know it's for a good cause.

Morning Star is a non-denominational spiritual community that has been established in Norman for…read moreabout 25 years. It's not really a church and it doesn't matter what your beliefs are so long as you are a spiritual seeker. They meet every Sunday at 10:00 am upstairs in the old Library. All ages are welcome but there are currently no services for children. The service starts with a facilitator stating the group's vision followed by a song from the band, a meet and greet, a short guided meditation and then a speaker who talks on a specific subject of their choice for about 25 minutes. You can take what you like and leave the rest. The community is tight knit and there are lots of opportunities to be of service and get to know others throughout the weeks/months.

"Some people have strengths and some people have weaknesses", is how it was addressed why half the crew worked harder than the rest. The hard working people get run off when the people who slack but don't complain get to stay. It doesn't matter how well you clean, how well you handle harder to adopt animals, it doesn't even matter if you creat a huge community project for the entire company, you will only get paid $8, and can get fired without a reason.

Once there I rang the bell for admittance and was met by a very nice lady. She came out and got the carrier and had me fill out some paperwork. She came back and told me it was actually a mole and was an adult. I asked her if I should have left it and she said not tht it was very unusual that it was above ground. She said they would check it over and if all good release it back into the wild. I did not know this place was here. There were 5 or 6 ladies there working on things. I left them a donation since they are a 501 c3 non profit with no public funding at all. Many thanks to the folks working there.

The staff smiled, took him in, mentioned donations, and I donated -- trusting they would actually help him. They promised updates by phone or email. I got nothing. For weeks, no one answered calls. When I finally got through, I was told the bird had been euthanized because he was paralyzed. No call, no notice, no chance to step in. For a place that calls itself a rehabilitation center, deciding paralysis equals death is disturbing. Instead of honesty and care, I got silence, false promises, and attitude when I questioned it. They took my trust, my donation, and the life of the animal I brought to them.
