If you're in Memphis and looking for a place to go over the border into Mississippi, then go to the Mississippi Ale House. It's got a ton of character and a great selection of craft brews on tap.

This is a unique place and I will return. The parking lot up front is really small and shared by 5-6 other businesses. The parking lot in the back is much bigger. This place has 30 beers on tap. They do not take cash so you must bring a debit card or credit card. Staff is really friendly and the patrons are friendly as well. You can go to OB Pizza Co or Side Street Burger for food and they will text you when ready. I got a coffee beer and it tasted great. All the stores share a back patio that is connected. Too hut to be outside in the summer but I can see myself out there during the fall.

I'm so glad the Mississippi Ale House has opened in Olive Branch. It's always my go-to place when I am in the area. You'll have to come to check this place out! Why I love it so much? Well, they have a great selection of local craft beers on tap. They always rotate the beers out so I try something different every time I am here. The owners are amazing! They are so nice and they have a great sense of humor. The ambiance is chill and the decor is awesome. Lots of space for seating. Although they do not serve food, you can grab food upstairs at OB Pizza or next door at SideStreet Burgers. Both places are fantastic. They serve, specialty pizzas, juicy burgers, hot wings, loaded nachos, tacos, and a lot more! All of the above is my type of food to pair with my beer. As far as things to do, they have corn hole, board games, live music, trivia nights, and all sorts of fun events. I highly recommend following them on Facebook or Instagram to check out what they have going on.

Great service and great beer! Live music was good and they welcome kids. We had the food from the burger place next door and it was amazing as well. Highly recommend.

This place is a hell of a find in this part of Mississippi. They have great beers on tap, great culture of people, owners and bar personnel are very approachable easy to talk to and love what they do. Place reminds me of typical bars with good beer on tap from Colorado. They got old school video games set up, pop corn and live music in the back. Great find and def try make an effort to make it out here for beers with friends.

Mississippi ale house is always a fun place to go too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Beers change frequently which suits everyone's needs and overall just a fun time. Morgen and Aaron are top notch employees and always make visiting a memorable time. Definitely recommend.

Not only an extensive beer menu, but AMAZING service. After finishing my flight and ordering a beer later, they asked how I asked my flight (while crowded) I was astondied they even remembered I had order one 30min prior in such a crowded atmosphere. Even with the crowds, I was IMMEDIATELY served. There were 2 or 3 food places next door... PLUS a food truck! Amazing atmosphere, I was in Memphis for a conference, but plan on returning here again just to visit, it was that amazing of an experience.

We ate in here last night for the first time. I got take away once a long long time ago, like 5-6…read moreyears or so. It is a divey bar/Irish pub. There was music playing the whole time but not loud at all - loud enough you could hear it but it didn't impede upon your conversations in the slightest. And by the way the music they had playing last night (Tuesday Feb 10 2026) was EXCELLENT!! I felt like I was at a bar from my youth with that soundtrack. We started with 2 appetizers, pub pretzels and the Celtic queso dip. The pretzels came with honey mustard and some of the queso. The Celtic queso has tortillas and what appeared to be house made potato chips. Both were very good! The 2 adults had some beer on tap. A Yeungling and a 201 Hoplar. Kid (well he is 21 but doesn't drink) had a coke. Entrees were a smash burger with fries, a Buffalo chicken sliders with onion rings, and a shepherds pie with mashed potatoes and gravy and okra. Everything was very good! Often fried things are either over or under done and come out not great however whoever was working the fryer was on it because the onion didn't pull out of the rings when you bit it and the okra was still nice inside the breading. Excellent waitress who kept checking on us and nice environment. What's not to like!! Definitely will return.

Deeeeeelicious and fun. We had never eaten in here although we'd talked about it dozens of times…read more (I think we picked up here once many years ago but I don't have strong memories of it.) But I was super impressed with the quality of the food! I expected a dive. And it is. But the food was fabulous!! Also, our waitress was excellent. Kudos to her. The inside is fun. Definite dive bar energy. We went all in. Appetizers, drinks, entrees. I regret nothing. We started with the queso appetizer and the pub pretzels. Both were very tasty. My one and only critique is that I wished the queso appetizer included some veggies like celery or carrots or something other than just chips. My son ordered the smash burger. Husband got the shepherds pie. I got the buffalo sliders. I like my buffalo chicken to be saucy. So I requested extra sauce. The kitchen seemed to misunderstand and instead of extra saucy, they put my sauce on the side and none on the chicken. Our waitress offered to send it back. That was not necessary. So she brought me lots of extra sauce. Incredible. The sauce was excellent. The chicken was excellent!!! Superb quality. Honestly, quite possibly the highest quality piece of chicken I've had on a chicken sandwich. Tender, moist, flavorful, and a large piece of meat. Very very impressed. I got the onion rings, at the suggestion of our waitress. They were fantastic. Washed it all down with a Yuengling. Truly, I can't say enough about this place. I was highly impressed. Most of the other customers appeared to be regulars who were seated at the bar. There were only a few groups seated at traditional tables. It was a Tuesday evening so I'm sure it's much busier on a Friday or Saturday. Oh - and just as we were leaving, they were setting up for karaoke. Apparently Tuesdays are karaoke night. Oh! And! The check was $77. That's with three beers, a Coke, two appetizers, three entrees! Not bad. Not bad at all!!

I was in the area doing a few errands, and was craving some Mexican food. Not Tex-Mex, but…read moresomething different from what one is served at the plethora of Americanized ethnic restaurants. Our two meals were made on the spot (zero heat lamps, here), and I could readily detect how fresh-tasting everything was. Except for us, all of the other diners appeared to be hispanic tradesmen having their lunches. The service was fairly attentive, but there was a bit of a language barrier between the Spanish-speaking waitress and us Anglos. I requested green sauce on my entree, thinking that would be a safe (mild) choice. I couldn't have been more wrong: muy caliente! I ended up having to exchange my spicy entree for my wife's, who had ordered the red sauce on her chicken dish, instead of the green sauce. She has a higher spice tolerance than I do, but said that the green sauce tested her upper comfort limits. My wife quite enjoyed her margarita (on the rocks). We think that some high-end tequila was used, because our bill for two entrees, an unsweetened iced tea, the one margarita, and taxes added up to exactly $42.00. (After doing some quick math, we supposed that was a reasonable price, but a bit higher than expected.) They don't write up receipts, and there's a fee if you use a credit card. We paid with cash. The owner spoke fairly fluent English, which would have been good to know when we ordered our meals. Also, he knew immediately what amount to charge us. If in the neighborhood, I might return. I only wish that this restaurant was far more transparent with the pricing of their beverages.

Very casual atmosphere and great service. Food was delicious and the aguas Fresca ( fresh fruit…read moredrinks) were cooling.
