I do not proselytize at people; I am not a "fundamentalist;" I do not support Trump! etc. Not only that, but a reader who has been working there for years that I know very well who doesn't believe in feminism or women's rights much denied that we know each other and did not give the endorsement I was hoping for. Second time my wife came and she got a sticker for a fun tray I've been working in and a sacred feather and smudging sage. Such a warm and inviting place. We were welcomed right away both times and were a little older , and we were treated with kindness and respect. They have all manner of "new age" alternative goods. They will gladly tell you what is what, and why. The ladies that run it are very nice and extremely knowledgeable. They can help you make choices that won't disagree with your dietary issues. Not knowing much about lentils, I told her I wanted just enough green and brown lentils to make two batches of soup and in 20 seconds she had them for me in two small baggies. I even got to sample some of the dried fruit and vegetarian bacon bits. They're located on a small street that gets very little traffic. There's plenty of room to park on the street, but you could probably just park right in the street and no one would notice. I believe they are only open Thurs - Sat, but if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.

The sandwich was tasty (The Swiss cheese is really nice.), filling and a large portion for a half serving. However, the bread was a little dry as was the chicken salad. It needed a bit more mayo or mayo on the bread at least. My other issue is the enormous pile of sprouts which would have been OK had there been fewer of them but were overwhelming in this volume. A local recommended asking for the sandwich with fewer sprouts, and I should have listened. They told us that they and all their friends knew to either ask for fewer or scrape off most before eating.
