This is a very nice place to hold a wedding reception for about 100 guests. It would be important…read moreto have nice weather though which we had when there. If held outside you could potentially handle a very large group. The interior is pleasant but a bit too small for a typical wedding reception of over 100 guests. At the reception we attended there was not enough room for the food service, bar, dining and dance area. Everything was sort of squished together. We still had a good time and made it work. Take some care in determining all you want to do if you use this facility. The bathrooms are downstairs which would pose a problem for some guests.

I'm scratching my head about the other review about Missoula. Quite the rant is all I'll say…read more I only got check out Missoula a little bit and it was still pretty cold out so I'm willing to bet like any small town like this, it's way livelier in the summer. From what I saw though I could tell it's a happenin' little place and could see totally hanging out here. When I think of Montana as a whole, I think being more or less in solitude, being in the wilds and endless outdoor adventures if that's your thing. That's all here but it's mixed in with Missoula. It starts with the trendy and funky local shops and an awesome art and music scene. We walk into Veera Donuts for example and the staff are bopping around to Blackstreet, while the walls are lined with 90's vinyl then have a Donut mural of Kurt Cobain right outside. Then go over to TacoSano and they're playing some SZA, then Soundgarden. lots of breweries, bars, shops, bakeries, and yeah, it's a college town housing University of Montana. To me that's great, having grown up in a college town. It brings life, attention and money to the area. Off the main strip it quiets down with modest houses and nice wide streets for a calm looking neighborhood. Not sure if or when I'll find myself out this way again but if you're looking for a little more than mountains, hiking and all the rest in Montana, make a pass-through Missoula.

This place is tucked out south of town, near the army reserve buildings. We only wandered through…read morea portion of the area, with the old locomotive, fire lookout tower, and old sawmill burner. This seemed to be the area most popular with kids (you should have seen them run to that fire lookout tower!). They apparently have working sawmill demonstrations every now and again. There is also a museum with a $1-3 admission fee and several other restored buildings (cottages, carriage house, schoolhouse, church, etc). We were on a tight schedule so we didn't wander over to these areas.

Update on this. An incompetent female worker forced me to pay the full $1.32 - 3 ounce shipping And…read morethen an additional $1.50 charge for each of my 1 ounce letters because the envelope designed by usps for shipping letters she deemed "too rigid" and said she wouldn't mail unless I did it her way as a "flat". In shipping thousands of letters a year I have never heard of this. Well they made it to Spokane and have now been pulled as "exceptions" and likely will never be delivered. Thanks! So to summarize, you CANNOT ship your letters here the correct way we outlined by usps because each of the usps workers here think "differently" about the rules and will pull and mark as return to sender. However, you do it exactly as they say and demand (which you know is incorrect), and they all get flagged in Spokane because nobody in their post office accepts the Missoula way of shipping which is 2.5 times the cost and forces your letters to be undelivered. This place is the worse. Do they even want their letters delivered?
