I found this place by luck on an app, and I'm glad I did! We went yesterday on Easter weekend, they had the Easter bunny, egg dying, arts & crafts it was really cool! My little one is 5, it was the perfect place to take her! It's small, but not too small. Definitely can keep you busy for a couple of hours, but it won't consume your entire day. The kangaroo exhibit was really cute, and perfect for all ages. All of the employees here are really nice and friendly, and have no problem taking the time to explain things about the animals to you. Me and the fam weren't expecting to find such a cute little zoo in Van Buren. It's tucked away off the highway and pretty small, but we're very glad we went. The staff clearly love their job and enjoy working with the animals. It's not only Australian critters either--they have a beautiful serval cat and ringtail lemurs. The height of the experience was definitely getting to hang out with a bunch of kangaroos in their enclosure. Getting to pet real kangaroos and hold a baby joey was a life changing experience. We were a little intimidated at first, but the roos were calm and cool and one even licked us and followed us around. read more

Multiple animals in extremely poor conditions , Prairie dogs hanging from the inside of the cage screen in a 4 X4 cage begging to get out gnawing on its side , a little fox kept screaming to get out of its small enclosure . The care takers were nice but uninformed regarding the animals .. This is such a poor vanity project for someone with a little bit of money to make money ... no love for these animals read more

What a fun place! This is a wonderful little zoo. You can pet and feed goats and kangaroos and you can see many beautiful and fascinating animals from around the world. I was delighted by the young lemur bouncing around her house like a long-tailed rubber ball! Indoors they are a several colorful, vocal birds, and a few reptiles too. All of the animals look happy and very well cared-for. The habitats are clean and spacious. The cave tour is neat, but be prepared for quite a bit of bending and crouching because of the low cave ceiling. read more

This place is awesome! It's not your average tourist trap type of place. Missouri Down Under is fun for everybody, kids, adults, and anyone looking for some fun and adventure. They have a walk through cave tour with a very knowledgeable guide that will point out the various formations and the history of the cave. There are lots of animals to pet and feed like big tortoises kangaroos, goats, a horse, ducks and more. Lots of indoor displays of beautiful exotic birds rock and mineral samples and even a cute little hedgehog. You will never feel rushed here and the guides Sandy and Debbie were the greatest! Every animal there was clean happy and healthy and calm. I am so glad we went there and I definitely recommend this place for anyone with a sense of wonder and adventure. read more

A fun family place and new lots of animals!! The cave was very cool. The people here and so nice and welcoming.

My 2yr old really loved this place! They were very nice even though we can at 330pm, 30 minutes before closing. They let us do the tour of the cave at 4 after closing. The staff was amazing. read more
