Love the Mr Jim's Special!!! Thanks for lunch. Even over the years they've always had the best employees. They're super busy but make great sandwiches.

I only had 13 dollars left to my name and I really wanted a sub after a rough workout, but the tax made it to where I couldn't afford the full sub but they took spare change from their tips to cover my sub damn I love this place, please eat here to support the good people that work here.

So I've been going to Mr. Jim's for over 20 years. Today I picked up an order a cheesesteak fries and that's it. There were like 10 fries in the box and they charged me $0.89 for ketchup. When the hell did you start getting charged for ketchup. I cannot even believe it. How is that even something you can push a button for on the register. Catch up? So I guess if you get a hot dog you get charged for ketchup and mustard?

After a few hours of going down a rabbit hole on YouTube last night watching Philly Cheesesteak places... I had a craving to try one.. Looking around my neighborhood.. Me Jim's appeared at the top of the list and they have been serving good for over 50 years.. so let's try them out.. First appearance, the place was a small restaurant located on the corner of a strip mall.. there was some seating inside, and lots of seating outside for when the weather is nice.. Ordered the Cheesesteak Deluxe which had the onions and green peppers, and a regular fries.. apparently they have 2 types of fries, fresh cut or other.. went with the fresh cut and order came out to a little over $20 after tip.. Fries were good, large portion, and fresh.. they were soggy by the time I got home... The cheesesteak itself was blah.. there wasn't a lot of meat on the sandwich, and no flavor. All I could taste was the lettuce.... It was nothing compared to the subs I saw on YouTube.. Leaving it at 3 stars for now, will definitely give this place another chance just to ensure I did not catch them on an off day.

All time fav spot. The cookies are phenomenal and the food is okay. Sweet tea is the bomb and the service is pretty quick.

Since the remodel I can no longer recommend Mr Jims. Prices went up and quality down. Find another sub shop.

As for the Fire Island, it's perfect for you if you like a kick. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Everything worked well on the sandwich, it can just be a much for breakfast sometimes. Consistency--both in the kitchen and in the dining room--has made this longtime favorite a reliable choice for those who value substance over flash. The service reflects that same steadiness. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing--always ready with thoughtful suggestions for anyone navigating the menu. I began with the garden salad, a straightforward but well-executed mix of fresh greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sweet Vidalia onions, finished with housemade croutons and a balanced balsamic vinaigrette. It's a simple dish done right, which sets the tone for what follows. The she-crab soup--an award-winning staple--delivers exactly what you hope for in a classic rendition. Rich, velvety, and deeply satisfying, it's best enjoyed in a cup unless you plan on making it the centerpiece of your meal. For the entrée, the French Dip stands out as a clear highlight. Built on a soft roll and filled with thinly sliced prime rib--slow-roasted to achieve both tenderness and depth of flavor--it's served with a properly seasoned au jus that brings the entire sandwich together. It's a dish that leans on quality ingredients and careful execution rather than unnecessary embellishment, and it succeeds because of it. Court House Café continues to earn its reputation the right way: consistent food, thoughtful service, and an atmosphere that feels rooted in the community it serves. Court House Cafe's reuben is THE best reuben sandwich I've ever had. The pastrami is tender and doesn't get caught up in between your teeth like other places and just enough sauerkraut to not be overbearing. The steak fries are always hot and crisp. My only gripe is that I prefer Heinz ketchup with my fries which they do not have. The service is always top notch and the girls there are always friendly. My drink was never empty. Now, wait times may vary but it is worth the wait.
